Loved it on PS4, played through everything within a month for 100% trophies, bought it again on Switch, bought it another time for someone else, who still hasn't finished it. :(

I did that when I played it the first time, it is fine. Also did so in 2. 3, I used other weapons since they changed how things worked there.

The series is almost completely quality. Of the main games, while the original is best, later titles were still fun. With the side games, both the mobile game and Wii game were worth playing, only the mini game compilation was bad.

I think I did get the Ultimate edition myself though, because the version I got came with all the DLC.

There are two versions. One with DLC included and one with DLC built in and a free PS5 version.

Since there is no real difference other than when they were bought, previous buyers have been pissed about the publisher's refusal to give the upgrade to DLC owners.

S version has symphonic sound track but lower quality graphics, original has higher quality graphics but simpler music. I enjoy the regular music just fine myself, but been a fan of the regular music in all the old games I played as well.

There isn't really a real point of no return though. Some areas where you can't backtrack for a while, but you can still go back later.
