They care about sex trafficking/abuse insofar as they can use it to attack their political opponents (it's a QAnon thing apparently).

They don't care about the majority of abuse that is done by friends and family in regular communities up and down the country. That's not as 'interesing' or able to be politicized (and also more uncomfortable to reckon with).

Next door neighbour abusing their daughter? I sleep.

Baseless rumor about a Democrat politician? Real shit.

Also looking forward to the card minigame in volumes two and three. Doubt it'll be Triple Triad-tier enjoyment, but hope springs eternal.
It's definitely not Triple Triad, as you don't really *play* it. You just create hands, then match-ups happen automatically when you're doing other things (or nothing). That then unlocks more cards to create better hands with. It's enjoyable enough.

I nabbed Last Recode in a Humble Bundle last year, and beat Vols 1-3. I burned myself out a bit (by completing the Book of 1000 in Vols 1 and 2), so I didn't play 4 (would anyone recommend doing so?).

I enjoyed my time with it, but it is a bit repetitive. Thankfully the battle system opens up a bit more in each Vol., and new areas, content, characters, etc. become available.

I wouldn't recommend filling out the Book of 1000 unless you want all achievements. If you go down that route, you need to max it in each Vol., which is a pain.

Super Metroid (made me realize my love of Metroidvanias)
Deus Ex (ditto for immersive sims)

Both showed me the importance of clever, open-ended level design in games like that.

Metal Gear Solid (showed me the impact story could have in games, in spite of the flaws in Kojima's storytelling, and got me into stealth games)

Pokemon Red and Diablo II took up so much of my time and showed me the value of community in games. I'd discuss these games to death at school and online, trade and battle in person with Pokemon, and play with friends online in Diablo II, and loved every minute.

All these games have great atmosphere too, and I value that a great deal in games now. Most of them also hide various optional tidbits of story, dialogue and references, another thing I like in games.

Cyberpunk 2077

Looking up the releases before that, I didn't realize Crash 4 and Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD were coming out so soon, although I'm more just looking forward to them than being hyped for them. With CP2077, it's genuine hype, but I'm realistic about what it will be.

Still nothing about anti-fascists in that article. But good to know you at least can source things.
Their logic is so mind-blowingly stupid anyway. Putting aside the fact that the incident mentioned was self-defence (on the part of the officer) and didn't have anything to do with politics, the inclusion of people being murdered (or that are even involved in a murder in any way) would make the data worse than useless. "Pacifists have been linked to 5000 murders (but how many they committed, how many they were victims of, how many they witnessed, etc., no-one knows)!" Obviously in the article they're referring to murders anti-fascsts have (or have not) committed, as anything else would be idiotic. They separately consider people indirectly killed anyway.

Awesome. Sounds exactly like what I'd want from a new Suikoden game.

Some characters are good at some things and bad at others, Murayama explained. But if you combine them with other characters that can strengthen their weaknesses, you can end up with a really balanced team. And based on that delicate balance your team make be more apt at mining or adventuring which will affect the overall game progression loop. One of the core game loops in Eiyuden is to experience the wide variety of different characters and personalities in your 100 person army.

With each new character your fortress town grows in size and ability. It is a key system in the game. As you increase your teammates, some members will be blacksmiths, some chefs and whether on the battlefield or not, each character will play a role in strengthening your resolve as an army. There are guilds that you can join which will largely change the visual make-up of your fortress town and grant different abilities. The more people you recruit, the stronger the snowball effect. As you level up, new trade options appear along with enemies and thieves that randomly attack your town in an effort to impede your progress. You need to make choices whether to strengthen your walls or hasten your progress. Each choice will make every play session feel different and have its own consequences.

Also:

Composers: Michiko Naruke (Wild Arms series), Motoi Sakuraba (Tales of series), and more.

Hopefully they can deliver the goods.

TopicHow do you feel about open-world pvp in mmos?

In Diablo II (not an MMO, but the principle applies), there was something exciting about being able to attack or be attacked at any moment. Some of my most memorable moments revolved around this feature. Chasing and being chased through the world, dying sometimes but getting sweet revenge other times.

It also contributed to Hardcore (permadeath) mode's legendary status, with PKs and all the rest of it.

I can definitely see the downsides to the feature though. Especially when the PvP is unbalanced, as it undoubtedly was in D2. Although, despite being unbalanced, there weren't any builds that couldn't be countered. Every build had weaknesses, albeit some more than others.

The gameplay is rather basic (although I like it nonetheless), but it's a wild ride from start to finish, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Even though it's a game in itself trying to figure out what the hell is going on story-wise, I'm still intrigued. The atmosphere is fantastic too.

Yeah, they just do that to try and "prove" the authenticity. Breaches are incredibly common though, unfortunately. Obtaining passwords like this isn't difficult I imagine. There are no doubt large datasets floating around on e.g. the dark web.

Check haveibeenpwned to see breaches your email address has been involved in.

Also, the webcam wouldn't even show what you were watching anyway.
