If a hedge fund shorting a stock can put out a presentation and video about why a company is bad, why cant random people talking to each other on the internet talk about why a company is good?

Makes sense to me, so Im not sure there is really a possibility of the SEC stepping in. At some point this whole bubble will burst, and many folks will be left holding pretty substantial losses on an essentially unrecoverable asset.

Thats all part of the game though. Play at your own risk, on whatever side you take.

Would the payout for AMC options be better at 3 months compared to a year? I'm still not sure how options are supposed to work and what the risk/reward balance is for short term and long term holds.

In general, the long term options will be pricier than short term, but payouts will be greater if the company ends up doing well long term and you have the patience to hold and ride out the hard dips.

Have a couple cheap calls on HYLN. Short term and Im not really expecting much from them. Just needed something cheap to demo to a couple buddies what to look for and how to set up the limit sells and whatnot.

I like Walgreens (WBA)

Dont hear much talk about it, and overall seems like a kinda boring stock, but to me its still a good brand name that should see a nice revenue boost due to delivery services.

Been holding options for a while but am going to stock up on some more as they still seem cheap.

The use of stop losses, trailing stops, options, etc, make it significantly less risky than gambling.

As long as you have a good strategy, discipline, and focus on minimizing losses, it is definitely possible to make a living off it.

Eventually some will find new ways to bring people in. Large scale anchor and department stores will die because Amazon, but make nice restaurants, brew pubs, and gaming (slot machine hangouts etc) the main draw and folks will still go.

Pharmaceuticals have been a big money maker for me this year, invested in JAGX at 40 cents a share and it's over $3 now also. I'm fine tossing a hail mary on a sub dollar stock and sitting on it to see where it goes. Its low risk with potential high reward.

Any thoughts on XERS? Ive been buying a few shares here and there on recent dips, so Im up about 30 % overall on it.

So its definitely been cheaper, but still seems potentially poised for growth to me.

SQQQ, UVXY, SDOW are decaying ETFs and are not good for swing trading or long term, but can be good for day trading if done right.

I view them as insurance policies and nothing more. I sock away a little bit into them under the assumption that I will likely lose everything, but if things go to shit and there is some sort of major overall correction or crash, Ill have something on hand to sell for cash if I need to sell.

So not a joke recommendation - but play carefully with, and always be mindful of, the risk.

Top quality picks are just so expensive now. AAPL and MSFT are my general go-tos when it comes to growth and value, but if there is some sort of correction even those will take a hit.
