It seems that some longterm series reuse tracks quite a lot. I think this particularly applies to simulator series. What is the rationale for staying interested in a series? When much of the content in a new game isn't new at all, why care?

I'm honestly curious.

Regardless of whether you are an atheist, a Jew, a Christian, or whatever, you are living in a culture that largely is predicated on Abrahamic religious beliefs. Notions of sexuality, not going around stealing or murdering, concepts of happiness and unhappiness. Much of this appears to be derived from certain religions, in both Europe and North America.

I was walking through the main park in my hometown, and I walked straight past a senior manager from a supermarket I worked in, years ago. This guy allowed me to be bullied every day for three years, allowed horrible stuff to happen to many people, turned a blind eye to various crimes, minor and major, and was generally a monster. And somehow, I walked past him down the park, and after recognising him, did nothing. Just pretended he was a stranger. I didn't call him out on being an asshole, I didn't swear at him, I didn't remind him that he ruined many people's lives. No. I just walked past him. Then, later that afternoon while I was resting my feet on a bench, he walked past me, and again I did nothing.

Go on. Tell me how beautiful managers are. How they deserve our respect. How we should refer to them.

I like how every single city in West Virginia is apparently dreadful. I mean, I know the state has serious problems, but that's a PRETTY broad generatilsation.

Also, how the fuck is Baltimore there? I think Baltimore seems like a nice city. The city centre certainly looks photogenic and interesting.

Wtf.

We already had Tier 1, which was close to business as usual, Tier 2, which was reasonably strict, and Tier 3, which shuts down almost everything, but now we also have Tier 4. What is this bullshit? The new tier is essentially everything but food retailers shutting down, and people stuck in their houses. I like the way Tier 4 is basically a lockdown, but named Tier 4 so they don't have to call it a lockdown. And, a lot of the country has been placed in the highest tier, just before Christmas, with no advance warning. I'm not one of those people that thinks governments have taken advantage of the virus to take away civil liberties, and I'm not an antimasker or anything, but this is really bad.

Thoughts? Do you live in the UK?

You hear, like back in the 70s and the 80s, that people used to love that shit. They took it really seriously, especially since, like regular arcade games, the pinball tables kept a high score table. There are also apparantly famous pinball tables.

The other day I walked about twenty miles. My poor feet.

I don't go for daily walks, but I do walk quite often. I don't have a car, and don't use bikes. I don't mind walking five miles at all, which is roughly a round trip to my town centre and back, including wandering. Ten miles is pushing it, but I can cope with that. Twenty miles is painful.

I don't get it. I know it was a highly anticipated game, and had a lot of glitches and problems running, but that happens sometimes. Some games have problems. Glitches, bad graphics, too long load times, and so on. Why are people SO upset about this? Why are Sony enabling people by giving them refunds, to say nothing of the mainstream media giving exposure and visibility to this situation?

It's funny. CE has been around for about two decades, and most of the posters have been millennials. And yet, very few people stick out in my head as LGBT. I can only think of one obvious example, and then there are a few other people I vaguely remember as being LGBT. Are people just in the closet a lot? What's going on?

My health is reasonable. I've had various problems with it since the age of 18. Even when it's better, it's not completely perfect. I suppose I'm still relatively young.

More than 10 years without a social life is incredibly hard, though. I sometimes wonder who I've coped with it. I mean, that was most of my twenties, which is meant to be the height of being sociable and going out constantly, and quite a lot of my thirties. When I think about all the people I've known over the years, and had very active many of their social lives were, going out a ton, and such, I get very upset. Even the regulars on CE, over the years, who often have not exactly had the best social lives, have had MANY more friends and nights out than me. Sad.
