Took me 450+ hours to clear 5BC.

If you're burned after 60 hours, then rogue-likes/lites aren't for you.

But sure, try Hades, it's really fun, but I believe it has less replayability than Dead Cells by a long margin.

I'm top 50 on LAN server for Teamfight Tactics atm. Was Hero multiple times as Dominator on Lineage II's Chronos (NA) server which is basically the #1 of that class/profession due to 1v1 olympiad matches. And I also won a couple of LAN tournaments for Starcraft: Brood War back in the day.

I've always been very competitive, and I'd like to believe I'm "good". However, my 11 year old nephew did what I couldn't, he beat 3 BC on Dead Cells on my save. I wasn't aware of this until a day later, when I saw it was cleared. I asked him and he went "Yeah I did, it was fun, but kinda easy".

As someone that's been watching Shonen anime and reading manga since around 1995, I can guarantee you it is one of the best to come in recent years, both manga and anime are top notch.

The thing is, everything that's popular at some point gets hate, it's the cycle of life.

Just to put it in perspective, it is the only manga series in history to have 10 issues in the Top 10 best sellers in Japan. At the same time.

And regarding the "generic" remarks, most shonen are, and remember that unique does not necessarily mean good.
