I met a few players growing up, I think legit the best guy I met was Patrick Elias. I'd go to spring training during the summer and like no Devils fans would show up, and I bumped into him a couple times in the parking lot. First time he approached me and my buddy, we were trying to be respectful and kept our distance, and talked to us for like 10 minutes, then asked if we wanted anything signed. We said no, we don't have anything, and he said alright then, went back to his SUV, grabbed a couple practice pucks, pulled a paint pen out of his glove box and signed a puck for both of us. Legit blown away that he did that.

Thats awesome. Thats legit going above and beyond.

theres a lot of players from around here or with homes around here. The best i met as an adult was when i was still in radio covering a local rodeo and carey fuckin price was calf roping. He was awesome. The other dude i worked with even asked does your contract let you do this? And he was like you know it never came up.
