The problem is that there's an inherent conflict of interest when it comes to season passes. On one hand, the publisher has your money NOW. If they develop robust content for the season pass they LOSE some of that money for the sake of development costs. So as a corporation you can count on the publisher to: do the barest minimum still acceptable to most folks in order to churn the most profit for shareholders.

I usually ran a Desperado COM for Nisha, just to avoid the usual 'deal infinity damage with laser beams during Showdown' builds that most people ran.

I do remember running that cookie cutter build for a bit with the pre-nerf Rosie... you'd simply erase enemies by putting them on the screen for 1-2 frames of gameplay...

Eh, the O2 health pickup kit IS damned good for glass cannons like Nisha.
Protip: Air boost in atmosphere to force a loss of O2 to generate air canisters to restore your health.

That being said, Eddie is a damned good oz kit for higher level characters that have unlocked health sustain in their skill trees.

Good:

• low gravity
• lasers
• skill tree synergies
• Claptrap DLC is solid

Bad:

• pacing, for both the story and getting additional weapon slots
• big, empty spaces that serve little purpose
• non-existent endgame content, just one 'Raid Boss in Name Only' encounter and a secret boss that had its loot drops nuked from orbit

Layers... the trick to being out in the cold, especially for those in states not used to it, is layers. You need pockets to trap warm air near you. Layered shoes help too, as you don't want even indirect contact with the ground; it'll leech warmth from you.

It was the night of lopsided fights. Including the fight where Hypershock fizzled in the first 10 seconds.

As for Beta, that seed is probably higher than they deserve. I'm not sure how you could criticize Hydra's seed given the fight it put on at the start of this episode. Sure, they had that extra cheesy moment against Huge, but otherwise they've put on solid fights.

Meanwhile Beta was puttering about against anything that looked remotely dangerous. When they have to use that weapon or risk getting destroyed I fully expect they'll get destroyed.

This is essentially why most larger companies have strictly defined dress codes: no images, no graphics, no writing of any kind.

It avoids messy issues of 'employee wants to broadcast statement', 'business doesn't want to turn away potential customers which might not agree with or want to see statement', 'Twitter howls at business until it closes its doors'.

I like how they just keep giving Chomp easy matchups. It's unbelievable how the entire organization stans so hard for such a bad team.

I've said before that Chomp always over-engineers things. They took it to the next level this season with a pneumatic walker bot. Good on them though for helping out Witch Doctor with cutting the latter's newly sourced steel slab for their weapon.

I don't think Chomp will make it to the round of 32. Despite Witch Doctor's weapon performance issues in the first matches, it seems to be working now and Andrea fills the slot for highlighting a female-led team.

Definitely one for the 'Neighbors from Hell' category... It's a weird phenomenon, where toxic antagonistic attitudes lead to mortal danger between neighbors. The best option in cases like this, despite how unfair it seems to the bullied party, is to move away.

In other cases, where the bullies make good on their promise to make someone's life a living hell, it's ended with an angry neighborhood mob attempting to burn down the bullied party's house and getting shot for it(no charges were ever filed against bullied party because it was deemed self defense to shoot someone pouring gasoline into your kitchen through a window they broke with the intent to light the house on fire).

When I took the last ones down my job would make me rip off all the covers of books. It's a common mechanic in retail/grocery stores where so much product is wasted or even purposely destroyed.

Yeah, ripping the covers off is a standard practice.

There can be some exceptions, like certain videogame guides being sold for a penny to clear them out of the system at game retailers. The alternative would be having people dive through the dumpster.

Hellshock is amazing prior to Mayhem scaling, because it was given a 'free' x2 effect on projectiles. If you match elements in Mayhem it's still amazing. However, it probably isn't even top 10 in terms of performance.

Hammer-Saws are legit weapons, to be sure. Ray's bot is mostly just a box inside a set of crash bars that wields a big steel blade. So Skorpios did well to pick at his tire assembly.

As for the Jackpot v Lockjaw fight, I knew going in that fight would be interesting. A hit at just the right angle can throw a driver's plans right out.

In a few weeks they'll announce the elimination bracket. I'm sure there will be more upsets to come in this season. The 'junior' teams have some nice bots.

If Skorpios goes with the basic saw it's going to get ripped off in the first moment of contact with Tombstone.

Lockjaw against Jackpot should be a fun match too. Whichever bot wins I expect it will be sporting some frame damage.

Then there's the opener... what can Kraken do against Huge? Seriously. It's a clamp bot against a raised platform swinging a blade.

Yeah, any bot this season that finds itself in front of Uppercut is going to have a bad time. Opposing bots need to take advantage of the instability caused when Uppercut revs up the weapon.

Depends on the car, there are some that go 100+ miles per hour but drive like drifty little go-karts.

Most folks settle on the Coyote for that reason. A fair amount of engine power while still being able to, you know, safely turn and stuff... :P

Added on top of that, in some of the places with indoor dining you usually see law enforcement going there to dine. The calculation on the part of restaurants is basically, "Well, if we follow the order and shutdown we 100% go out of business. If we balk the order then there's only a tiny chance that we get shutdown."

Businesses basically raged at Newsome until he recanted the order. Covid really shows how stupid some people can be though. If you want to reopen stuff there are 3 simple steps: wear a mask(think of it like collective insurance), socially distance where possible, and don't gather in groups indoors for extended periods(especially for food and drink where masks get removed). That's it. Simple steps. People cannot or will not follow through though.

There's a related low budget game(part of a series IIRC) where you play as a person but get to control a giant robot to fight said Kaiju. It was called Robot Alchemic Drive(I think one of the related titles was Remote Control Dandy). The control scheme tripped people up because it turned your controller into a remote control for the robot. Fun game when you send a monster cartwheeling through a skyscraper with a solid uppercut.

One of the early things to loot or purchase were the Belts that granted Resistance to a particular damage type. The majority of the damage you faced was considered Slashing. So cutting the majority of damage you take in half was handy. This doubled with the Stoneskin spell on Druids, allowing them to become Rock Tanks in combat. Beyond that though I'd have to look up the items to remember some of the highlights. There were usually 1 or 2 things per chapter that were a nice boost to consider.

Ah, the joys of being a Druid with a Panther companion and finally getting the ability to Shapechange into a Dragon...

The downsides were a cumbersome looting system and randomized loot which you still collected anyway because you needed to sell fodder for some of the decent shop items.

It's all about praying to the RNG gods to give you a tasty weapon.

And to know at a basic level what to look for.
BL1 - everything you need to know is listed on the item card, pay attention to: Damage, Accuracy, and Rate of Fire; rarity and item level mean far less compared to other BL games
BL2 - every manufacturer has a gimmick, so find the ones you like, e.g. Jakobs for crit sniping or Maliwan for burning and melting, etc; Launchers are a bit more involved because you ideally want a Maliwan-brand exhaust for a projectile speed boost and the rectangular Tediore-brand sight or bonus reload speed
TPS - BL2 gear plus lasers, Maliwan has the best laser gimmick and their Beams and Blasters are monsters

Because, much like large banks, the suits discovered that there's a lot of money to be made from 'fees'. Once people are on the subscription there is an incentive to stay on it or else be 'disconnected' in one way from their friends.

Yeah, the play order should definitely be GotY Enhanced, BL2, then TPS.

BL3 is the only other main title. There's a total spinoff by the company that does the 'Tales' games, called Tales From the Borderlands, and it is the source of some characters you'll meet in BL3: mainly Rhys and a certain 'Bandit Chief'.

I think other than the main event, and the possibility beforehand of Shredderator simply not working, this week's episode was really predictable. I mean, I guess the Mammoth and Hypershock match could have gone differently.

At this point it would be more interesting to guess which big name bots will fail to make it to the round of 32. E.g. Witch Doctor, despite placing well last season and being something of a fan favorite, hasn't done anything of note this season because they're using a weapon composition that might as well be styrofoam when it comes to robot fighting. If any 0-2 bot makes the cut it should be Rotator. Two judge's decisions against him in fights that proved his bot is capable.

I don't mind games that take place underwater. It certainly wasn't Ecco, but I remember playing a fair amount of Critical Depth(basically Twisted Metal with submarines). As you might expect they had alien structures, mad scientists, and whatnot.

As one of said kids with this game I can say I often stayed in the first area and certainly never beat the game.

The minimap sorely needs to zoom out when you're driving, it's way too zoomed in to be able to know when you have to turn without it suddenly popping up in front of you

There are already mods on PC that do that.

But still, the GPS directions are a mess. You're better off noting the first major road on the map that gets close to the destination, use that while ignoring the GPS, and only consult the GPS when you're <200m away.

I just eyeball it, 10 gold per pound at level 1, increase that amount every 10 levels or so. So at level 30 you'd want things worth at least 40 gold per pound, etc. Once you hit 50+ and money is overabundant you can up it to 1,000 gold per pound.
