I haven't been to Indonesia but when I went to Costa Rica I stayed in a rainforest/volcano resort and a beach resort on the same trip. I'd say they were both relaxing but the rainforest one was definitely quieter and more chill. Probably only because it wasn't as crowded, but it was nice being surrounded by greenery and hearing and seeing a variety of wildlife.

yeah I did think this, but Im so so used to relaxing on a beach and doing nothing, occasionally taking a dip in the ocean then back to the lounge chair. I guess at the rainforest ones you can just do that by the pool?

whats the ones you stayed at in Costa Rica?

Leave all of his stuff at self-checkout because one of those items wasn't scanning and the attendant went over to punch it in manually had to grab the item and he left and said I go through these so nobody touches my food. How does he think they got on the Shelf?

im sure what he means is he doesnt want specifically till attendants touching his food because they handle money, peoples shopping, peoples cards, etc. so the risk is potentially higher than it would be from just shelf stacker putting his food up there.

People handle the pandemic in different ways and for different reasons, no point mocking somebody for being extra cautious.

why are sports even separated by sex at all, it isnt like anybody is actively using their dick or cooch while playing, Im not even sure if there are major sports where it would be allowed

just have different brackets based on ability, and in local places instead of a boys team and a girls team, have like an A team for kids that are really athletic and then a B team for kids who want to play but that, well, theyre trying their best

dude there are sports where this logic just doesnt hold water. The concept of men having a physical advantage isnt made up.

Low quality bait but Im surprised this is still an issue, every league nowadays should already have a stance on this.

Personally I think that if were accepting that a trans woman is a woman then in the first instance: they cant play in the mens league.

Ok then the question becomes, can they play in the womens league? Were accepting that shes a woman so yes she can.

Ok now were in the territory of unfair advantage. Lets say a 2nd tier NBA star wants to transition then play in the WNBA, not even a LeBron level player but lets say a decent starting center like Andre Drummond at 610 and nearly 300lbs, very athletic although not exactly dominant in the NBA.

He immediately has an unfair advantage over most WNBA players since most of their centers are closer to 68 and nowhere near the strength of a 300lbs man. This would be Shaquille Oneal (not quite Wilt Chamberlain) levels of dominance over the league.

The real question is, what does each league do about it? You cant ban someone for being too good so ultimately they kind of have to suck it up.

What irks people is the precedent that it sets and the potential for a massive influx of men transitioning so they can dominate womens sports. The difficulty comes in what type of policy you enact to counteract that. Transitioning is such a massive issue I dont think anybody would claim a diff gender just to dominate a sport so I cant see this being a widespread issue so that huge influx will never happen.

But there probably needs to be medical evidence that this person is actually transgender since allowing them into the sport can have a massive effect on the balance of a league. Like before someone trans has bottom surgery I believe theyre evaluated by a psychologist and two physicians who have to agree the person knows what their doing and is trans before being recommended for surgery. Maybe that level of verification is needed before somebody trans can be accepted into a league. Its a complex issue so I dont think any sports body should be afraid of protecting their product from people who would be deceptive and enter a sport under the pretence of being trans.
