The wandavision speculation got so out of control for a second there if you went to any marvel forum or topic as people started crazy speculation to tie it into the comics and the multiverse and who the actual villain was, etc. No. Stop. These are meant to be easily digestible money makers >_>

Aside from any concerns of digestibility, I thought a lot of the speculation was silly because it just wouldnt suit the show very well. Its like people were hoping for a bunch of random appearances to set up other future stuff regardless of whether or not that would actually suit the story the show itself was trying to tell.

at some point I had a revelation that this is my favorite album. I dont listen to full albums often, so thats not a totally huge honor, but still. Even when I do, its usually only a couple times and then I add my favorite songs to my main music library. With the Blue Album every song made the cut.

Its also sort of a weird case for me where Im less biased towards the singles on this album because I wasnt necessarily aware of which ones were singles when I first heard it. The first Weezer CD I owned was Maladroit because they used to play the Keep Fishin music video at the bowling alley a lot. That song and Island in the Sun were probably my intros to the band. I never got the physical CDs for the earlier albums, so I probably didnt even know any Blue Album songs other than maybe Buddy Holly until at least a couple years later when I got my first iPod.

until very recently I would have said Only in Dreams was my #1, but Say it Aint So has stealthily climbed up my list over the past few years.

(total sidenote: although Blue is my favorite Weezer album, my favorite Weezer song is El Scorcho)

Oh easily Resident Evil 6 by this metric. I believe it had around a thousand people working on it, a gigantic budget, and it came out as a much worse game as well as a huge disappointment.

Volcaronas kinda cool, but it definitely wouldnt be my number 1 for Gen 5

Chandelure is up there though. I love that line, its a super good execution of a concept that probably millions of fans came up with on their own when thinking about what a ghost/fire Pokmon would be.

realized today that if Evan Peters was actually playing Fox universe Quicksilver the character would be like 70 years old

the timeline of those x-men movies with the actual aging of the actors is such a weird mess. legit 30 years pass between First Class and Dark Phoenix. Magneto looks basically the same that whole time and then like seven years later hes Ian McKellen.

I might not totally hate Simisage if it existed in a vacuum, but the association with those other monkeys drags him down. Until this topic I hadnt even really considered that one of them might be less bad than the others, I just think of all of them as those stupid monkeys.

Theyre like starter Pokmon but what if starter Pokmon all looked the same and also like shit and they didnt have any interesting traits combatwise. so bad

This probably doesn't matter but is weird to me. Everyone called out Trump signing the checks as a cynical and undeserved PR move but I didn't see much arguing that it wasn't a GOOD PR move.

whether or not it was a good move by Trump, Biden going look at how humble I am, Im not like Trump is probably a better PR move for himself than putting his name on the checks would be

Plusle doesnt even seem like a weird choice for favorite. Its a thing that looks very similar to the thing that is the mascot of the entire series, of course someone is going to like it.

I find it harder to imagine the dire life situation that could lead someone to choose Silcoon.

Like my favorite is probably still Bulbasaur in part because he was the first Pokmon I ever had. If the first Pokmon a kid experienced was Silcoon that kid would immediately think Pokmon was garbage and move on with their life. Its nothing.

Im curious how exactly the plot of DS2 will be set up.
I was thinking the most likely scenario is Wanda will cause whatever is going wrong in that movie through her use of the Darkhold, but I wonder how theyll frame the situation in a way that makes Doctor Strange the main character of the story. I dont think Wanda will be a straight up antagonist.

I could see them doing another Wanda-focused series in the future that somehow involves her needing to team up with Agatha. The response to Agatha has been so positive, it would make sense to try to work her into their future plans somehow.

NowI do have some pretty big thoughts on the other side characters. The whole Monica/Darcy/Jimmy plot was okay. It was really nice to see them in episode 4, I also liked how they introduced Monica, but as things went on they felt more and more out of place. Especially Monica. It felt like she's only her so they don't have to worry about setting her up in Capt. Marvel 2. I liked her character well enough, I just think they botched her plot wise.

now thats over, I feel like either the show needed a little more length to give those other two more of an arc, or it should have cut one of them entirely. I think you could have split Darcys role in the plot between Jimmy and Monica and it would have worked ok. Jimmy can ram a truck into another truck just fine.
Relatedly, Hayward needed some more clear motivation to be a colossal piece of shit. He just straight up shot a gun at children! Whats his deal?

also maybe it could have used a little more direct conversation between (awake) Monica and Wanda.

whats going on with white Vision now? He just flew away. Is he going to come back in the future? Did he fly away to kill himself?
I think it makes more sense that hes dead, but they needed to be a bit more explicit about it because otherwise youre just going to give people hope that hes coming back somehow.
