They said that vaccinated people do not need to wear masks unless the rules of the place they are currently in say to wear one. That is not at all the same as saying that vaccinated people need to keep wearing masks around unvaccinated people.

Mask wearing is required in healthcare settings, including nursing homes/assisted living facilities, and public transportation settings nationwide through at least September, including airports, train stations, and subways, which is what I said.

Again, the main issue is theres almost no feasible way to enforce what theyre recommending to do and people are just going to lie and spread it further, potentially leading to more variants. Some places/states outright discourage checking vaccination status, or are in the process of doing so, and a lot of places dropping mask mandates arent even bothering with checking. Its a very questionable recommendation to make socially speaking, not necessarily on a scientific basis

Does it though? Pretty much all the necessary equipment necessary for journalism is routinely held in the pocket now-a-days. Which is why so much breaking news is effectively disseminated through twitter. If the argument is trying to create a media blackout, they're doing a shitty job.

Like maybe you could argue that this is an attempt to demoralize them by destroying their office space and stuff, but that's a stretch?
