they got rid of wood shop a couple years before I got to high school. I was mad because I grew up listening to my dad tell me about wood shop and metal shop when he was growing up, and I thought I was going to have my chance lol.

I can't remember them all but I remember taking a typing class in 2003 because I thought it would be a piece of cake lol. we had that Mavis Beacon programmed installed in all of the computers and it had some pretty cool typing games, lol. just talking about it kinda makes me want to do it again lmao

I was in band freshmen year and played the alto saxophone. I wanted to play drums but that was taken by like the dudes. but I figured maybe I can be the kind of Jazz man that could make Bleeding Gums Murphy proud, so I went the route of the sax. I went through reeds fast though... I guess I had a habit of biting them.

there was a magic club that I joined in 7th grade. I don't remember most tricks but my nieces and nephews loved it when I made small items disappear on them when they were in elementary

Look at it this way, a significant number of super star celebrities are rappers who use and abuse the "n word" in their music. Their music appeals to a large population in this country (the US) as well as the rest of the world. The majority of citizens in this country is white, meaning they think rap music, and consequently the use of the n word there is cool. Because it's cool, they'll emulate it.

This has absolutely nothing to do with racism. If something is to be done to change this, then the source that influences and enables people to fling the 'n-word' around should be targeted; i.e. rappers who all spam it in their music and sell to the very demographic that others don't want mimicking. Until then, if mega star rappers are going to perform for the white demographic and take their bloody money, everything they use to appeal to them is fair game.

She is not the only anxious or depressed professional athlete and they all have to deal with media too. Fair enough to walk away for mental health and lose out on stuff but something she needs to deal with if she wants to continue being a pro athlete, especially being a tennis star. I love that athletes want control of their destiny. I love that they use their platforms and are willing to face whatever comes with it. whether it be Tom Brady or LeBron James.

athletes are paid to play the sport, and anything else that happens is on them. unfortunately the media always has to add their opinionated spins to everything these people say, rather than just the bare facts.

many Americans don't even care if they're getting their "news" from pundits because they just want to be agreed with. to have an appointed mouthpiece expressing the collective outrage of a demographic, regardless of merit.

Naomi did the right thing to withdraw so she wouldn't be a distraction to the tournament. the media keeping this story running even AFTER is proof that it wasn't about the sport for them, either. it's her and what she represents to them, and the certain pundits in the media will misconstrue her entire purpose.
