I love the 90s series but it cuts out a really good fight close to the end. If you go the manga route, I recommend not skipping what the anime already covered. There's some slight differences that make it still worth reading that part. There's aome things that the anime does better and it's nice to see the difference.

The newer anime is not great. The movies that covered what happens in the 90s series are okay enough. Skullknight gets more screen time. Beyond that they're kind of abridged versions of the show.

The other series is pretty bad. There's a few scenes that are cool to see in motion but beyond that they're pretty meh. There's a lot of terrible computer animation that is outright terrible and takes you out of the scene. There's a famous meme gif where Guts walks away like he's a Southpark character.

It's difficult completely cutting off a parent, but clearly this current thing isn't working out. I went through similar shit with my mom. She's since passed and I have mixed feelings about how our relationship went.

At the very least, I'd drastically lessen the amount of time with him. Like there's often some strange drive to have at least surface level conversations with them. It doesn't have to be an all or nothing situation, but where youre at now is way too much imo.

Then it hits me. My son is a sociopath. I realize that he must be stopped. I wrestle my own son to the ground and suffocate him in the wedding cake.

The crowd doesn't understand the danger they were in. The police are called. My new bride screams that she never wants to see me again.. Im taken to jail. The judge sentences me to 30 years.

I walk into my cell and accidentally drop my sheets. My cell mate helps me pick them up. We bump heads as I lean over. Our eyes meet. And that's how I met the love of my life.

TC actually didn't write that much. It's more commenting on quotes. If you're a proponent of CRT then you really should educate yourself about what it teaches.

With that said, there are legit issues that CRT brings up and I believe those should definitely be brought up in schools. Systemic racism and other racism based factors in America should definitely be brought to everyone's attention. That's a very good thing. It promotes a culture of people working towards solutions.

I have issues with things that TC brought up like:

-it is undeniably pushing a pretty heavy communist/marxist agenda. You can't attack meritocracy and the entire system all the way down to schools and grading as not equitable enough without ultimately arriving at the conclusion that individualism/competing with others is the problem and we should all "share everything." This shit really has no place in simply talking about racial sensitivity and will create immense problems, especially considering school is very much part of this system of competition/individuality.

Get this type of shit out of teaching me to identify aspects of my behavior that perpetuate racism and how I can help put an end to that cycle.

Get a globe/map if you're not up on your Asian geography. When I played it as a kid I thought they were made up places because I was ignorant. A lot of the planning makes more sense when you understand wtf they're talking about in regards to locations.
