Connecticut is doing a relatively great job vaccinating people(and handling the pandemic in general). IIRC, its currently #3 in terms of vaccinations.
As I am a worker at a grocery store, I fall into phase 1b due to being an essential worker*, along with teachers, firefighters, etc. and expect to be eligible shortly(they chose to vacc old people first: they started with 75+ and are currently doing 65+).

*A designation virtually without benefit.
LOL, joke was on me, Connecticut went to a fully age-based tiering system and completely de-prioritized all "essential workers" except teachers. I won't even be eligible for vaccination until May.

I think they should have the right to regulate the use of their identity and moniker, yes.
However, I doubt they'll get their wish soon.

I mean, most of them are, as long as you accept their limitations.
I have a little book containing The Analects of Confucius and the Tao Te Ching, both of which are worthwhile reads in their own ways.

My lesbian friend was friends with her current girlfriends for years and years. Then they got really high together and she confessed how attractive she thought her friend was, and her friend told her she had always thought she was attractive, so they wound up making out then and there. That was, like, two years ago now.

The thing is: a friend is some one you choose to hang out with. A significant other is some one you choose to hang out with a lot whom you also find attractive. Of course, repeatedly making unwanted advances is going to destroy your friendships.
TopicMalcolm X was assassinated 56 years ago, today

Yeah, I did, a few years back. I recommend it, in part because it's an extremely unusual piece: it's based on years of interviews with a journalist, so you can kind of see how his thinking evolved in that time.

One thing that sticks out to me is a sequence where Malcolm X, while a gangster in New York, plays Russian Roulette to cow his "friends" into doing what he wants.
In the Afterword, the author reveals that Malcolm admitted to palming the bullet(i.e. the revolver was actually empty), but asked that little detail be omitted because he didn't want anyone to think he wasn't willing to die. He, of course, had already been assassinated when the book came out, so the author included it in the Afterword.
Topicif Sonic is supposedly so bad, name a platforming series better?

I mean, if we're talking about the series through Sonic 3 & Knuckles, then it's pretty subjective as to how good it is(I think they're some of the best platformers of the era, personally). And the Adventure games were pretty great for their era, though they very much suffer from camera problems, weird physics snafus, and being over-linear: things which stick out more now than they did then.

But after? Jesus. Colors was good, Generations and Mania were great, and then you have stuff that's mediocre at-best, like Unleashed and Heroes, and the rest? Garbage. A Mario game as bad as something like Lost World is utterly unthinkable, but Sonic '06 is, like, an all-time terrible game, in large part because Sega rushed it out the door and dialed up the dumbest aspects of the Adventure games to 11.

Powerful countries who impose their will on others to advance their interests, even at the expense of the locals, are bad by definition, yes. It is simply the case that the U.S. is currently the most able to do so.
TopicWhat if Saturn had a Sonic game at launch?
ElatedVenusaur

Really, from what I've heard about it, Sega totally botched the Saturn release: it was both prohibitively expensive, and launched with a severely deficient library, in part because their constant format tinkering(the Sega CD, the 32x, etc.), swift abandonment, and rushed launch to get ahead of Sony made many developers leery, though for many, the last straw was the short-lived Saturn.

However, a mainline Sonic game would probably have helped immensely: the series was at its zenith, both in terms of quality and prestige(it didn't really lose its shine until after the death of the Dreamcast, when you had the underwhelming Sonic Heroes followed up with multiple absolute disasters), and a Sonic game would have absolutely helped Sega to move units.

so the "voters" don't understand the longer-term implications of removing the filibuster. which would result in far worse consequences down the road when GOP gets in power.

also biden isnt in charge of the filibuster anyways, so that's also not his fault/responsibility.
What, that our government might actually pass more than 3-4 more pieces of legislation per presidential term, and they won't all be budget related?
The horror! Do you seriously believe Mitch wouldn't simply nuke the filibuster himself if he ever wanted to do anything other than pass tax cuts? He removed them from judges because he wanted to pack the courts.

sure, but the reasons why its failing is because there aren't enough democrats in office who support it. if you want federal policies you need nationwide voting for people who support those policies. the problem in terms of minimum wage is that there's enough of the country voting for people who do not support it.
The Democrats control the all three branches of government. Voters expect them to deliver, and if the Democrats dont deliver, the voters arent going to be impressed with mumbled excuses about process or the filibuster, theyre just going to decide the Democrats dont actually want to help them and stay home.

And given that the Democrats will inevitably back the people responsible for this mess to the hilt in their respective primaries...

Democrats: Vote for us! We believe in a $15 minimum wage.

Voters: Boy, that would sure be great!

Kyrsten Sinema: Now, hold on a minute! It cant be done via reconciliation. I know this to be true in my bones even though the CBO ruled it had a budget impact, the parliamentarian hasnt ruled, and VP Harris could get it in anyway. I would definitely vote for it otherwise as long as I knew it wouldnt actually pass LOL

Joe Manchin: I dont know, if youre working two jobs and cant make ends meet, that seems like its your fault.

*$15 minimum wage fails*

Democrats: Vote for us, well totally get that $15 minimum wage next time!

Voters: Can we at least get rid of the Dems who blocked it?

Democrats: VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

I restarted because I always end up feeling like I could've done so much better that I abandon my first playthrough and start a second one.

It's actually pretty great. Being your army's instructor allows you to shape your units(to an extent: they all have strengths and weaknesses) and the whole academy angle allows for a large cast while also allowing for them to be characterized.
I'm surprised Koei Tecmo made Persona Emblem and knocked it out of the park.
