This sounds like a good explanation. Like there were funny bits here and there but for the most part it was overwhelmingly "OK"

IIRC there were some episodes though where Finster was trying to decide on a monster and there was a bunch of premade monsters all lined up on a shelf. Why not send them all down?

Maybe one monster of the week that the town could handle itself would keep the rest of the world less interested, whereas sending everyone would trigger the whole world to come help this monster problem.

In 2020 COVID completely killed Bernies momentum and without being able to do stuff like throw rallies, he couldnt get any momentum back. And Bernie was considered unlikely to win before all that. Also 1/2 the field giving up and endorsing Biden had to have done plenty too.

you could maybe argue 2016, since Clinton ran a very weak campaign, and Sanders had the same we need real change outlook trump was pushing, but even then Id say its still a stretch. Being a democrat also meant Bernie wouldnt have the cult-like support Trump did and so probably wouldnt be nearly as successful.

Maher's political stance has also pretty much always been "Enlightened Centrist that's slightly more on the left"

So his stupid takes just get more pronounced because he can't take the hint and step back. He's not actually more conservative, but the world around him is and he's too stubborn to think that if someone disagrees with him they might have a point.

If you're going to get an XSX, you might as well build a PC. Only reason for console gaming is exclusives, of which PS5 wins, even if it's the worse console.

The benefit of a Xbox is that its like 1/2 price of a similar PC build.

By all accounts though, he's just a creepish asshole. If you remember from Zoey 101, there was a prominent character in the first couple of seasons named Nicole who was written off at the start of the show's third season. The actress has come out and said that she was bullied and ousted by all of her co-workers and when she went to Dan for help he just told her to fuck off and that the show wasn't about her

This. Nothing has come out about anything sexual, but the general consensus seems to be these Nick TV shows were incredibly toxic environments, in large part do to Schneider being such a horrible person. Jeanette McCurdy (from iCarly/Sam and Cat) was treated so horribly she quit acting.

Seems like Schneider is more emotionally abusive, which isn't really better, but is why he isn't in a much worse position given most of the stuff that's come out about him.

Modern Simpsons has become the ideal show to kind of just put on in the background because you want someone on in the background.

Its not like modern Simpsons is bad its just... complacent. Vastly better than modern Family Guy at least.

Harvest Moon games have been pretty bad since they split from the story of seasons people.

It seems like most of the people who voted for Biden don't even like him, he was just better than Trump.

We'll get Biden derangement syndrome when we start developing conspiracy theories in order to justify any of the decisions Biden makes as obviously the best decision if you actually know whats going on in the world (ie. whatever new conspiracy theory there is today).

I still like it. Season 8 was ok, 9 & 10 have been great imo. Its still dumb zombie fiction but I like it.

The last 2 seasons have been a huge step up from the ones before. Everything from like mid season 9 with the time jump have been great.

I think the whole series is still pretty good, although it really suffers from a lot of filler. Being able to binge it Netflix style makes the whole show much better IMO.

Well, duh. Trump hijacked the party in like 2015 and everyone immediately gave up everything they believed in to support him because winning was more important than values.

If the republicans starting distancing themselves from Trump, he'd probably start a 3rd party, but even after he lost they just doubled down. Trump doesn't need a third party, he already owns one.

Idk, I was excited about D/P remakes. Its a fun artstyle that's way better than the ugly graphics of gen 7/8.

I have very low expectations of Legends and whatever will come from Gen 9, so unless D/P remakes really deliver they'll probably be my last ones.

If you didn't enjoy Odyssey/Origins... probably not. This seems to be the direction AC is going.

Maybe just for the CDN sale, but Oxenfree is a dollar. For 1$, buy Oxenfree, its fantastic. kick-ass like walking simulator type game with some really minor puzzle stuff (if even).

There's also Guacamelee and Spelunky, but these are pretty old. And Yooka-Layla 2 is also on sale for pretty cheap, but a little more expensive. Fun 2-D platformers (Spelunky is a rogue-like too)

There was a movie from like the 30s called Child Bride that Mystery Science Theatre 3000 refused to air because watching it made them feel so gross.

Cyndaquil's short appearance looked like he'll always have the flames, which makes me believe Quilava and Typhlosion might too.

Which means they're back to being the greatest pokemon of all time, instead of being maybe the most poorly done by the transition to 3D models.

I liked the Lets Go Chibi sprites more, but these are pretty great too.

I'm hype for D/P remakes. Love the artstyle (hate the artstyle from Sun/Moon and Sword/Shield) and can't wait to see how it ends up.

Pokmon Legends is... neat. We basically saw nothing so I don't really have anything to say about it but i'm looking forward to what else comes out about it.

Even Uncharted 4 has its fair share of shenanigans. When you Rock climb your way out of a collapsing Bell Tower I'm kind of okay with it just looking cool.

I mean, Uncharted is a series that's heavily designed around those "cool moments" so that might not exactly be a bad thing.

Its not supposed to be something deep or anything, its supposed to be a crazy action romp that doesn't take itself too seriously.
