Probably the scariest game I've ever played. Makes RE2 Remake look like Disneyland tbh. I loved the Baker estate. They nailed the setting for this place.The Baker family was terrifying in the best way. Marge was creepy as hell. The chainsaw fight with Jack was great. I just wish we had MORE JACK. He chases you around the first chunk but once you get to the basement where the fucked up shit happens, you have a sick boss fight with him and he's gone. Yeah he comes back one more time as a goop monster but that aint the same.

Looking back I guess the game isn't that long which explains why it feels like my time with the Bakers was short-lived. Still a good length. If I had a major gripe besides not enough Bakers, it's that the Salt Mine is whatever. I thought I was getting a crazy lab but that was a super short segment of nothing. Also the fight with Eve kinda blows. It's entertaining the first time but it's also just a cinematic moment. I saved all that ammo for nothing. I wish we also got to see more backstory about Eve, Jack, and Marge. It's really sad that they were actually good people until they found Eve. Lucas seems to always have been fucked up since he killed someone as a kid. Maybe the DLC sheds more light on them. I kinda wish they had lived and kept being villains.

I see a lotta bad mouthing about the ship. I really liked that segment and it was just as scary as the Baker's place. You're Mia and all your shit is gone. Figure it out.

RE7 good game. Glad I got to try it on Gamepass. Trying to decide whether to buy the gold edition to get the dlc, play RE3 Remake, or just hop into 8. Im on a horror high

In Japan we have Square, Falcom, Namco (Tales), and Atlus really holding it up. That's about it. At least for somewhat popular companies that consistently release RPGs. NIS has one foot in the grave. Compile Heart is somewhere making bullshit that is mostly derivative trash.

i can't get into this game at all. the art direction and world is fantastic but the gameplay is so dull

I think most jobs are pretty fun by the time you hit 50, but the gameplay is admittedly basic till then. Still, I kinda appreciate how the complexity of each job slowly ramps up

Ok so the atmosphere of this game is masterfully done. I can feel my heart beat all the time when I'm playing. When the lighting hits the mold things just right, they are terrifying. Also they're so damn quiet when they walk! I hate it lol.

The main story of each part of the game has basically an epilogue story that transitions to the next expansion.

With Realm Reborn they were really focused on adding content to the game so they....bloated the Post RR story. Luckily for you they cut out a lot of the fat last year. Still a bunch of bullshit but there is some meat. They got a lot better at not bloating the main story after that

Beating RR also unlocks a LOT of optional content. Have fun!
