Ehh shes still too little to know how to do that yet. If shes crying its for a reason. She normally doesnt just cry to cry. Today she was a hungry baby all day. Just eating and screaming for more. Exhausting.

This!!! You get your rest, don't feel bad for expecting the father of your child to .... yknow .... be a parent as much as you are.

Honestly it sucks when you have to remind people to do things they should be doing but that's another reason kids aren't for me personally.

"oh I didn't hear the baby :/" ok I'm booking you a hearing screening and moving the crib in your office. "I forgot to change diapers because I was uh rearranging my books by the Dewey decimal system. Yeah huh." okay well the baby has been in the house for months now and didn't get beamed up by the Enterprise in the past 6 hours so.... maybe you need to get checked out for brain damage or something memory related.
We generally split things fairly well and I agreed to be on baby duty while he played. Tomorrow I have a girls night and were getting dinner and drinks while hes on baby duty. Today was just particularly exhausting with the growth spurt and also being with her all day and last night was my night shift too. Ive been up since 3:30 am.

Its cool, hes taking night shift tonight and Ill have some time tomorrow. But no I dont feel bad that I reached my limit and asked for him to step in.

We both have copies and subs. He was playing this morning. We were in the middle of leveling to max to catch up to current content when things got too busy to play. He only just went back to WoW after the new patch

Why would any responsible father be playing games while he hears his own child crying a few rooms over and not do anything, especially during early infancy? Not only that, but had the audacity to be upset? Fuck did you think having a kid entailed?

Get the fuck off that game and help out. He shouldn't be needed to be reminded or nudged into helping.

To be fair she usually goes to bed around that time and I agreed to take care of her while he joined the raid. I had set her down to sleep but shes experiencing a growth spurt today and is being more difficult. She woke up 20 minutes in to scream for more food which shes done most of the day. And I took care of her all day while he took calls to interview for a new job. He did the same for me when I interviewed. But I reached my limit.

Hes over it now. He fed her and put her back to sleep.

Its not that the $300 extra makes them lazy, it gave them time to line up better things.

this part didn't happen though. Anyone who actually read her first post in the topic that she was warned in would not be able to honestly say that she said anything. 75% of the post was sympathetic, comforting and benevolent toward the topic creator. The part about her own situation was briefly mentioned as context. Not to mention, her post was amidst a bunch of deleted posts (several people got warned) saying things like "hell yeah now you don't need birth control!" and other shit like that. She was not at all making anything about herself.

Then, people started talking shit to and about her, being judgmental as fuck and twisting things around. She defended herself and got heated and that's when things got derailed and she started lashing back too hard. She didn't even say anything negative to or about Cleo. It was a matter of "people should be treating me as respectfully as they are treating Cleo here, but they aren't," NOT "people should be shitting on Cleo here like they are shitting on me, but they aren't." Yet the latter is the narrative being sprayed all over by the very same people that started attacking her in the first place. It's fucking transparent and it's bullshit.

That's why it became about her. She wasn't going to stop defending herself and she shouldn't have. She should have done so differently, but she said nothing to warrant being attacked in the first place, which is why that first post was never deleted. She even asked why the other deleted posts were being ignored in spite of being visible in quoted posts (ignored EVEN BY THE TC HIMSELF) which anyone and everyone should have also been wondering as well.
Lol I dunno wtf youre on but she accused me of making the topic about myself and wanting to brag about having a kid. She doubled down on it multiple times in the topic. Shes come at me in other topics too. Ive mostly just tried to ignore her but she has an obvious bone to pick with me. I dont know why, Ive always been nice to her.

Not sure why Ive been brought up. I thought it was pretty obvious that Im sharing that there are other options and I empathize with the situation. Seems most can see that. Not the first time gunpla has come at me though. Infertility is a heavy topic and its devastating for anyone to go through regardless of gender, sexual orientation, etc. I dont believe in participating in pain olympics.

I4NRulez posted...
It really hit us both like bricks. We knew she had the cyst but they kinda made it seem like no big deal. They said its most likely PCOS which would make it harder to conceive but not impossible. Today she got the news that when they go to remove the cyst because of how large they found out it was. If they see its cancerous they are just going to take all of it out.

Its been a very emotionally charged day. I'm kinda lost on where to go from here. I know options but every thing is so pricey and we arent rich.
I suggest taking a look at infertility sub reddits if you ever need support. I lurked a few of them. Also dont know what your gf does for a living but some companies cover infertility treatment. I know starbucks does. I think Amazon does too. My treatment was covered by insurance. And if youre in Canada or the UK, then its free. Some people opt to travel abroad to save on costs. There are options out there. The initial news is a shock though. What youre both going through is grief and completely normal. For now, its hard to think of next steps until you know the outcome of the surgery so just try and be there for her as best you can, which it sounds like you have been.

I can't speak for experience with PTs, but my old gym was $40 a month, and when they got bought by new owners and went up to $80, I joined a new gym which is $40 a month, but if you have a group/family plan under the same card it goes down per person, so I only pay $35 a month for myself. Either way, don't bother with physical trainers. Like other people said, look into online help.

Do you like anime at all? There's an adorable infotainment anime that does a legitimately good job on explaining a lot of basic strength training workouts and stuff about the gym to you, in a light-hearted, comedic manner. Also has the catchiest theme song of all time:

Yeah the only reason I thought I could use a PT is that I had a c section and wanted guidance on the best exercises for my core without overdoing it or injuring myself. My doctor wants me to strengthen my core muscles and lose a few pounds to ease my back pain. My back has been killing me these past few weeks. But I think I could get by on my own. Maybe Ill ask my husband to help me come up with a routine at home.

I'm surprised so many people are saying all gyms are like that. I've been to three different gyms in my life and all have been really chill.

I know it's hard to overcome insecurities when you see fit people all over, but do your best to remind yourself that most if not all people there are only there to improve themselves and aren't concerned with anyone else.

If you can, look around for other gyms in the area with high reviews. If there aren't any others, see if you can get someone else (like your husband) to come join with you. Unless you're really into working out, having a gym buddy to come with you is almost a requirement.

If you mostly just want to show up, and go walk on a treadmill/elliptical/bike the whole time, then yeah Planet Fitness is probably the way to go. Either way, unless you're looking to get like, FIT fit, don't worry about getting a personal trainer.

Just out of curiosity, how much are they charging per month anyway?
Yeah my husband cant come anymore now that we have a baby at home. Hes supportive of me taking the time to exercise to feel better about myself and will watch our baby, but we dont have family who could babysit her for us. I hate going alone.

PT was like over $500 a month for two 60 min sessions per week. Seemed steep but I dunno whats reasonable.

Theres also the possibility of her using donor eggs with your sperm. I wouldnt say having kids is totally off the table. For now, just be there for her as they remove the cyst and hope for the best. You cant know until that part is done. Then you will have to think hard on if this is the sort of journey you want to take on. Kids may still be possible after but it can be soul crushing to experience infertility, treatments, month after month, year after year of waiting and watching as everyone around you starts having children. You really have to commit to that kind of thing.

I used to go to one with a friend of mine who was an offensive lineman for an NCAA college football team. This guy was a fucking tank but we'd go every morning at 5am. He didn't help alllll that much. Just a few technique tweaks, but I would take your husband with you just to get the comins and goings of certain machines and excercises and then you'll be flyin solo in no time.

I'd also go to a different gym if they're pushy assholes.
Yeah I know the insecurities are in my head. Its just hard to accept how I look now and then go to the gym and its all these fit and tiny women. Ive never been much of a gym goer. I find them intimidating. I dont really know what to do or how to work any machines. The only gym I went to was the small gym at our old apartment complex and my husband would essentially coach me but that was years ago.

Ive been struggling with my self image postpartum and thought Id give this new gym a try. They offer a 7 day free pass and a free workout with a personal trainer. I really forced myself to go, which on its own was very difficult to even drive over there and push down my insecurities about it. Talked about my goals with the PT and how I want to lose pregnancy weight and strengthen my back because it hurts a ton.

Well the workout was fine he was helpful. Was hard to get over my insecurities seeing fit people everywhere and not really knowing what I was doing but he was encouraging. But come time to leave they got really aggressive with having me sign up then and there and also signing up for personal training. Just using my insecurities against me to try and sign up right away. I kept saying I needed to discuss the costs with my husband, the sign up fee was a lot more than advertised and the PT was pretty expensive. I also told them I wanted to continue to use my free pass and try things out more. They got super pushy and nearly rude about it. Asked me if my husband was the main decision maker, or pointed out that I was obviously there for a reason so why hesitate, etc. Really didnt make me feel like going back. I felt ganged up on.

Are all gyms like that? I ended up feeling worse after going.
TopicI just found out my girlfriend cant have kids.

From what i understand so far is that number one priority is to take out the huge cyst thats there. Other most likely scenario is that they will take out the ovary its in and they will try to save the other.

Worst case scenario is that its cancerous and they take it all out. Uterus and all
Well Im hoping for the best for her. I had a 2.5 cm cyst removed that was non cancerous. Hopefully they can remove hers safely. Cysts are more common than we realize. I have a friend whose cyst ruptured and she ended up in the ER. Shes the one I mentioned is currently pregnant.
