even Star Fox's crossover with some no names didn't get all that much support.

It's apparently a lot more expensive to make a rail shooter these days. It's why we're not seeing anything of that nature today except for the rare occasion.

Now that you mention it, rail shooter are really uncommon these days

i thought you could deplete their shields but they'd never die from it. it's been too long.

in the SNES game their shields only deplete if they're being attacked, and you take too long to help them
also, they always lose their shields in increments of 25%

sadly perma-death is only in the SNES game

The problem with the book is that even as a trans allegory it fails.

The elephant doesn't think he's a bird. The elephant is told by a third party (named "Culture" because creativity. What, was having a character named "Liberal" too on-the-nose?) that he *must* be a bird, on the incredibly flimsy premise that he can sing. Then forced the elephant to pretend he's a bird because sure why not.

That's... not how transgenderism works. Nobody (in their right mind anyway) would look at a boy who has more 'feminine' interests and say "You're really a girl" and then force them to pretend to be one, regardless of how that person feels about it.

Rise of Skywalker is one of the only movies I've ever walked out of, and the only one I walked out because of the movie itself.

I still haven't seen TROS and really don't care.

I asked my mom (a life-long SW fan herself) if she wanted to go see it, and she said "Nah" so we didn't.

I tell ya, if my mom doesn't want to see something, you know it's gonna be bad. She's the type of person who tries to find the good in everything. That's how you know the sequel trilogy really fucked up.
