Honestly, I think agencies like the CDC and government entities were willing to lie/mislead the public because if they told the truth about it not being super duper effective, and that we may have more lockdowns and mask wearing anyway, even less people would've gone out to get the shots

Yeah, this seems like terrible advice imo. People on the highway changing speeds when in a lane people are merging into causes more issues than anything. I go to merge and some jackass starts slowing down so it's more difficult to anticipate their movement

I've played in front of around 1500 people before. It's more nerve wracking than it is great. But I can be a slightly anxious person. Other musicians probably love it. Playing in front of lot of people can feel great after you're done if you played well. It can be a really terrible feeling if you didn't. Been on both sides of that

To be fair, some of the stuff people say is true about him, but I've seen people here make up and/or exaggerate stuff related to him. A lot of the same people have done that to me as well. Helly is probably the biggest offender when it comes to this. With over 50 percent of the country being vaccinated, I find it hard to believe the vaccine is really all that effective with the recent surge we've had. Herd immunity has historically been around 70% vaccination and we're not that far from that figure

I looked up what vaccine side effects mean for your immunity, and what I'm finding is a bunch of information saying you can't determine strength of your immune system by the reaction you have. Whether you have a fever and headache or no symptoms at all, you still can't determine that

I know you guys wish I had a bad immune system because people who disagree with you should die but that's just not the case. Sorry little guy

Research is pretty publicly available on the matter. It's not exactly esoteric knowledge that Covid affects more than the lungs.

But it doesn't cause blood clots for the overwhelming majority. It generally presents respiratory symptoms, if anything at all. The fact that the range of effects on people is so all over the map is enough to wonder about it

The side effects to these vaccines are caused by the immune system, though. The fever, aches, fatigue, and whatever else hits you are entirely a product of your immune system reacting to the vaccine. If you don't have side effects, it's not because you knocked out the "infection" before it could do anything, it's because your immune system didn't respond very strongly.

This doesn't really make sense. If I'm being injected with the same thing as you, and it makes you ill, but I feel nothing, it suggests that my immune system was so effective against it that my body didn't have to resort to fever and the like to combat it

That probably means whoever gave you the shot poinked a blood vessel that they shouldn't have. Nothing catastrophic, just bad poinking technique.

Actually, that kind of suggests that your immune system was too weak to respond to the second shot, even after the first dose.

I've only had the first dose. But it also sounds like you don't really understand the immune system. People with really strong immune systems can often be infected with something and not even realize it because the front line of their immune system is taking care of business. I almost never get sick and am a very public, out and about person

A major part of Covid's pathology involves blood clots, which can very plausibly cause both of those problems. It's also not at all unusual for people with clotting issues to only discover those issues when something major happens because of them. That naturally leads to the conclusion that a Covid infection could seem asymptomatic but end up causing erectile dysfunction or brain damage.

Sure, it's not something with much precedent, but it's not remotely implausible.

That just leads to even further questions. Why is a respiratory virus causing blood clots in otherwise asymptomatic people

My arm was sore for more than usual with vaccines but it left a pretty weird bruise on my arm that didn't go away for at least a week
