Most of it is just practice and memorization of the rules we have to follow and where everything (cakes, icing, tips, tools, toppers, boxes, price tags) is located. Little bit of artistic skill needed, some communication skill needed, lot of organization and time management needed. And lots of patience for getting constantly interrupted while trying to get other things done. Not really a hard job, but it takes a lot of mental balancing. If you're referring to something as 'a female' or 'a male' it's almost always in a scientific situation/referring to non-humans. So if you call a human person 'a male' or 'a female' it sounds weirdly clinical or reductive or like you're just so far removed from whoever you're talking about that they're like some different, lesser species than you. I've read 20 or 30 of King's novels and nothing compares to Louis's journey through that story. King has such a lazer focus on the character that makes Louis come to life in a way few fictional characters ever do. Similarly, grief is rarely explored in such depth in fiction, and with such honesty. Neither movie does the novel justice.Mmhm, very true. One of his more actually horrifying ones too in my opinion, just due to how goddamn hard it hits with the characters (poorly) dealing with death and how creepy and fucked up it gets on the man-playing-god angle.
