Breath of Death 7 and Cthulhu Saves the World are both great, but they seem to channel more NES style, same with Artifact Adventure (also great)

All of these games are great, but as mentioned are 8-bit.

Pancakes if they are well made buttermilk or buckwheat.

French toast if it is thicker than 1" bread & has powdered sugar.

Waffles depend entirely upon the topping - bacon is best.

Master and Slave is not offensive. The term describes exactly what the device does; the Master gives the commands and the Slave follows. If you think it is offensive, you had better talk with the large group of people with certain sexual fetishes next.

I also see no problem with whitelist or blacklist.

People need to grow up and stop seeing offence in everything.

It will almost never come up. The whole thing is very silly to get upset about. I'll call you however you appear.

First of all, if I was in contact with 20+ people every day who all used some different pronoun, I'd never keep them straight and I would just give up on trying. If that makes me an asshole, I can live with that. I can't remember 20 people's names half the time much less whatever pronoun they expect others to use. There is no discernable way to tell a pronoun other than memorizing someone's preference, which could then change a year later. Too much work and not worth the effort.

No, it's a marketing gimmick 95% of the time, and if you're in an environment that need them, you'll already know what/where to shop for, and you can already presume they're noise-canceling.

Noise cancelling headphones are awesome for working with power tools, mowing the lawn, etc. They are definitely not a gimmick.

They were a great act. One of the very few I've heard that sound just like their albums.

The "pronoun problem" exists unless you are someone I interact with every single day I won't know. I can't even recall most people's names unless I see them every day for a month or more.

Because I will never remember, I will call you how you appear. If I call you a dude and you are a chick (or vice versa) I'll probably feel bad and try to correct it. But if you expected to be called something else, I don't really see how that would be my fault since I have no way of knowing.

I know it gets talked about online all of the time, but I've literally never had this 'issue' come up.

The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 and hasn't been raised since 2009. The highest it's ever been, adjusted for inflation, was in 1968 when it was $1.60, which is equal to $12.30 in 2021 dollars, and even that amount would only get you an apartment in 13 states.

I've lived in two of those states on less money than what is in the chart. It is also very hard to make a whole state have one number. This is the problem with the whole cost of living number - it isn't just state to state it can be 10 miles to the west is really expensive and 10 miles to the east is really cheap. Nearly impossible to try and make rent/wages/whatever fluctuate to 'cost of living' whatever arbitrary number that may be.

Also - 'living' is an arbitrary definition as well. You can live very differently on the same dollar amount. What constitutes a 'living' wage?

Disagree 100%.

Not all jobs are meant to be done by someone supporting a family - and some of those would disappear if forced to provide a 'living' wage.

Also - 'living' wage can vary greatly depending upon where you are living. Until you can sort out the differences in cost of living, you can't clearly define what living wage is.

More important than the things you like to do together are the values you share - especially if you have kids. You need to be able to stand together on what is right & wrong for your kids as far as behaviors. If you have two different value systems and one of you is fighting the other about what is or isn't appropriate it can make you hate each other really quickly.

I see signs in people's yards fairly regularly that tell me our governor is an idiot. I disagree. I think Gretchen Whitmer has done as well as could be hoped for during this pandemic. Also, with armed idiots storming our capitol.

As with most issues - the truth is in the middle.

She's done some things very well and some things very poorly. Her mandate to have kids back in schools by the first of March was puzzling - considering most teachers weren't (or aren't) vaccinated yet - and three schools in my area have gone back into shutdown within a week or two of opening.
