Again Im not justifying how she is acting now, but I know this is a high stress situation and coupled with her mental illness this is a lot for her. I dont think she actually feels that way, I think shes stressed and angry, and feels alone. I dont necessarily think all those feelings are justified or that her way of dealing with them is acceptable, but I get it moving cross country is stressful.

Shes definitely not off the hook for apologizing, but given the circumstances Im willing to talk with her if she stops being an absolute terror.

How long can it go without her being a terror? If this is occasional I could maybe see dealing with it.

Update: I went downstairs to grab a drink and she walked up to me and hugged me and apologized for being difficult.

Abusers always apologize and then revert.

If things had been better for awhile and the move restarting fighting, maybe it could be okay. But I get the sense that things hadn't been okay even prior to the move.

At this point Im not sure what else to do. This cant continue like this and Im growing low on patience. Ive been trying very hard to work with her but she just wants it done her way. I mean she literally told me I dont trust you to make intelligent packing decisions because you havent up till now and babysitting you is too hard.

I get it. My ex got pissed that I wasn't making decisions, but I did early on, and she started always overruling me or saying I was wrong. So I quit. I have the most awesome girlfriend now (who is 16 years younger), so it can get MUCH better.

I literally asked her how I can help. If I try to touch any of her stuff and pack to she will yell at me cause I am doing it wrong. If I try to pack any of my stuff, she will redo it and say I am doing it inefficiently. If I do nothing she says I am not helping. If I try to call for trash pickups, or schedule logistics shell get mad when I ask her details to coordinate appropriately.

Got it. Sounds like my ex wife. Get the fuck outta there.

I'm in the middle there. Cause I like going out and doing stuff, but not with big groups. I don't wanna go places with a bunch of people I don't know where there is nothing to do except walk around and talk to people.

I mostly dated extroverts prior to my current gf. Pretty positive that none cheated. But my last girlfriend was so extroverted that we did butt heads all the time. She is now dating an introvert as well and seems to be happy. I hope she is happy. Despite not working out, we were together 2 years and I still care about her.

Opposites in terms of values doesn't work IMO. And if none of your interests align, that won't work either.

What does work is me being an extrovert and my girlfriend being an introvert. If she wants to recharge alone, I spend time with guy friends without jealousy and complaining. Win for both of us.
