It's very odd to say that heat stroke causes hypovolemia. Hypovolemia is often actually a significant a contributing factor when heat exhaustion is developing towards heat stroke, which is the opposite causality.

Excess sweating and inadequate fluid/electrolyte replacement, when combined with vasodilation in effort to keep cool, result in inability to regulate blood volume. Aldosterone secretion would typically result in retention of sodium and water, increasing blood volume, maintaining healthy blood pressure within the dilated blood vessels. But the salt and water aren't available, blood volume can't be increased, and blood pressure drops low enough to where you are unable to pump blood to the body (hypovolemic shock that isn't due to hemorrhage).

I don't know why you linked to that abstract. The abstract does not say that hypovolemia is a result of heat shock. As explained above, it's a contributing factor that can result in heat shock. Which is why not everyone with elevated unregulated body temperature will also have hypovolemia: because it can happen without dehydration. For example, when the wet bulb temperature is above 35 C the human body is unable to lower body temperature. If you are replacing fluid and electrolyte you will lead to heat-induced death without hypovolemia.

Side note, aside from the abstract (which didn't even support your claim), everything else associated with the citation is in Hebrew so i doubt your corroborating evidence is there.

Excess weight is primarily a result of poor dietary choices and eating habits resulting from lack of knowledge or lack of discipline. If you're sedentary, you need to eat fewer calories. I could also extol the benefits of intermittent fasting but I've done that enough lately.

Running is awful and completely unnecessary for weight loss. A walking routine is easier to get into, easier to adhere to, and easier on the body.

Understanding the dialog wasn't a problem, it's pretty much modern English and some of it is even funny. But there's a lot of periods with no dialog at all.

Weekly asymptomatic screening has become so routine/simple. Takes 2 minutes out of my walk home and I'm going to know if I'm potentially contagious even if I never develop symptoms.

It's about as guaranteed as one could hope to expect from a vaccine. Risk of hospitalization or death in fully vaccinated individuals is very very low even for people with other risk factors. In people without them, risk of hospitalization or death is even lower.

As stated, I'm still taking precautions to minimize my contact with others, and I'm in a county with near 90% adult vaccination rate.

People who are vaccinated are probably the most complacent and dangerous. If Im not vaccinated, Ill be more cautious in touching things/my face. Meanwhile people who are vaccinated, truly believe theyre fully protected and cant be carriers or pass it on to others. They will naturally, due to MSM, blame the unvaccinated in any spike in cases.

Complacent, maybe. Dangerous, but to whom? Not to themselves or other vaccinated people.
At this point, perhaps dangerous to people who:

1. Are not authorized to be vaccinated (young children)
2. Cannot generate a robust immune response from the vaccine (weakened immune system)
3. Choose not to get the vaccine

To my knowledge, I don't have any meaningful contact (indoor close unmasked contact) with the first two groups (and its use in children will likely be authorized soon).

As for the third group, well, they're making their own choice (that I strongly disagree with). And while I wish no harm to anyone, and I continue to make effort to minimize contact with others in public, it's clear not everyone will continue to be so patient as I am.

. If your body is raising the temperature of itself to combat an illness it means it regular defences ( white blood cells) are not enough on their own to combat it.

Sorry man, but fever is part of the innate immune response, which precedes the adaptive immune response when facing a novel antigen

With over 50 percent of the country being vaccinated, I find it hard to believe the vaccine is really all that effective with the recent surge we've had. Herd immunity has historically been around 70% vaccination and we're not that far from that figure

It's demonstrably quite effective at reducing the occurrence of hospitalization and death from the Delta variant (varied, 90-99% depending on population looked at) based on vaccination status amongst those with severe covid, and likely highly effective at even preventing many symptomatic cases in day to day life (88% in a recent test-negative case-control study, though expectedly less effective when zooming in on a population from a large social gathering, e.g. today's CDC post regarding the "bear week" and other events in MA). Your opinion on the matter is irrelevant.

It isn't confirmatory, but it doesn't rule out the possibility. Essentially you have demonstrated absence of a positive signal of immunity, but this isn't necessarily evidence of a lack of immune response

(Absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence, but it's at least compatible with the same conclusion)
