The reason Nintendo Switch Online doesn't have a ton of the great classic games even to the level of the old Wii Shop is because they don't own them. The Wii Shop was an absolute godsend for its time because Nintendo capitalized on most of those other companies not caring so much and allowing their games on the old service. Then they noticed there was a market for them. Now the companies are releasing their own games themselves because they know there's bank to be made. Mega Man collections. Street Fighter collections. Castlevania collections. Hey, Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters even. Nintendo's good stuff that they can get is already up there. --- CyricZ He/him |

Hey, let's spend time with these characters with whom we're gonna know exactly where they're going to end up in a year when the war's over! Best thing about it was Ahsoka and the named clones and even then Ahsoka took a fair amount of time to get good. Rebels was what CW should have been: a separate team who weren't characters from the movies doing stuff and there actually being stakes. Filoni wanted that and Lucas rubbed his beard all over the production to make it what he wanted. Like I don't hate CW but every time someone asks "hey should I watch CW" there's always a laundry list of episodes to completely avoid. Bad Batch is going all right, though. --- CyricZ He/him |

In my circle of gaming friends, there's this one guy who was a coworker of the husband one of my friends from high school (three degrees of separation essentially). I would sometimes get to talking about the games he's up to and he's not playing them so much as he's finding ways to optimize them, get the best hardware, look for the games that utilize it the most. I'm over here playing Ace Attorney and Yakuza games and dopey little indie stuff and having a great time, and he never seems to be happy with what he plays. Antisocial as shit too. He's not really part of our friend circle anymore since he lost his job, lost his house, and is now living across the country with his parents.
