that aside though, his rationale seems somewhat sound. taking the grievances uni usage is causing the network into consideration i can understand how it may be construed as complicity of a sort, but i'm not quite sure how they're directly related.

I did some more reading and digging around in following the discussions, this is way more serious than I thought. It's a real mining cartel they're trying to protect with the move to build an oracle component on Uniswap.

MEV brings in a revenue of over 20 million a month since they started starting MEV Auctions in April and this is going to grow from there. I have every intention of selling off my UNI now that they're going this route. And this makes as to why Vitalik and Ethereum developers were all lashing at Chainlink from that the article Ari Juels wrote on how MEV is theft.

But if we ignore the population of kids raised in unwanted homes, and assume all 3 parent combinations want their kids, there's bound to be differences especially for a kid raised by a lesbian couple. Kids need a paternal influence in their life, where would kid of a lesbian couple get that from?

On top of that, I always recommend learning about Chainlink if you want to learn about crypto. Bitcoin is one of the most groundbreaking innovations in the past century, but it's removed from the innovations going on all now in the blockchain field. Research Chainlink and you'll learn about everything that's going on in development and find other projects that you can jump in early on.

So I heard this recently and have no idea what that means, also "Proof of Work to Proof of Stake"
lending out your crypto to DeFi protocols for 10%+ APY. With Yield Farming, you can lend out your crypto for pools that pay 20% and 80% and even 100% interest. If you look deeply, you can find pools paying out 1000% interest, but those don't last for more than a few days.

I tried it, and it's super lucrative once you get passed the obnoxious gas fees (though I hear Fantom is painless and easy for this), and also once you get past impermanent loss. I was in the green easily, making a $90 a day from lending out probably $20K worth but I couldn't stand seeing my linkies being sold off (and it was only a couple per day when they were ~$15). So I had to stop.

What are some that you thought had good potential, but never (or hasn't yet) worked out. What are some where the DD ended up failing

I hopped in on a project once upon a time called DeFi Money Market. But my due diligence (even though I had all the information right in front of me to read up on) amounted to trusting they were going to work out since they were using Chainlink technologies and were invited to speak at Chainlink conferences. They went belly up sometime last year and I ended up $400 down the drain. Low effort and low investment, but dead projects are definitely a possibility in this budding field.

Thing is I'm super laser focused and obsessed with Chainlink. It's difficult to leverage that same excitement and obsession to other projects so I notice other projects, see their potential, and think "oh, that's nifty, but it needs Chainlink to work" and so I double down on more Link buys.

I think my most recent case was my friend telling me at NFTX, this is basically a token whose value is influenced by the total value of the NFT industry. So as the NFT industry grows, the value of the NFTX token grows. Moving forward, we want to create NFT versions of properties and other real estate, ones that track athletes' performance for fantasy football league and the like. Then there are a billion and 2 possibilities for NFTs with gaming and virtually anything else because NFTs are the medium in which you can digitize an object.

But here's the problem, none of that data exists on the blockchain. For instance, how many points X player scored in X basketball game, his NFT equivalent would not know. The data has to be brought onboard in a secure manner that doesn't compromise the blockchain. There's only one way to solve this issue, by using an oracle. And what oracle is every project going to use? Chainlink. Why bother with NFTX? In the end, I bought one by moving around altcoins I already had since it was priced at $300 just to say I "diversified".

This is why you hear me always go on about Chainlink even though it's just under $50 and I could be selling to buy myself a house right now.

For those who aren't in the know, a few years back, Ethereum had a 51% attack launched on the network resulting in stolen funds. The community then decided to vote, "We have the power to undo the attacks, do we fork the chain to exclude those fraudulent transactions or let bygones be bygones and keep it as is?". Of course, the majority decided to fork to undo the damage. But there was a sector that refused to budge and upheld that the code is law. From that point, Ethereum separated; those who wanted to be flexible for the good of the community moved onto the new fork with undone damages and went on to build a better future, and the original fork kept moving whiled dubbed as Ethereum Classic.

In 2019, ETC ended up getting hit with a 51% attack again while the rest of the blockchain industry laughed at them. So if you buy into ETC, know what you're getting into, and I'd highly advise not touching it altogether.

I'm assuming you've been in LINK since the inception; do you see any other small market cap crypto making a similar impact in the next five years? Personally I've got some in YOP and OPEN, looks promising but not something game changing like the current top 20.

Never heard of 'em. I did pay attention to RSR once upon a time but I got lazy in reading up on it. That being said, I got into Link back in late 2018 and obsessed around that one project. I know the company and the project as if I work there (I do want to send my application in someday...). You need to find a project that not only has fundamentals, but is a project you're willing to research and study to the point as if you own the company. For me, I continue recommending Link even if the price is 100x higher than when I started buying in because I know how important it is to the industry and I can liken it to buying the BTC at $100. This is the level of understanding of the project you want to have.

How much chain link do you own? I have about 6k worth currently and that would only take me to 120k at a grand a pop

Chainlink made me a crypto millionaire sometime ago. But you should have a death grip on your Link, it's the blockchain's equivalent to WWW and HTTPS protocol. It's the internet of blockchains. This is why you don't see any of the top 0.01% of wallets selling; we all understand the significance of Chainlink in the incoming smartcontract revolution.

Chainlink is one of the reasons why Ethereum was able to reach its all time high of $3K, what held Ethereum back is the lack of a secure method of bringing information to the blockchain, an oracle network so to speak. Without an oracle network, all you're doing is pushing coins from address to another on a blockchain with zero real use case because the lack of secure method to deliver information to a blockchain compromises the security of the entire blockchain; i.e. the weakest link breaks the chain.

Personally, I'd like to be able to sneeze out a Yacht filled with lambos when I cash out on my main investment, Chainlink. I just bought a PS5 and Series X with my crypto!

Or anything. Its like a friend that keeps saying how expensive his rare games/comics are worth but never ever sells them so you dont care....

Funny you mention this. Around last Fall, this one Decentralized Finance exchange, Uniswap decided to airdrop 400 UNI tokens to all wallet addresses that initiated transactions of trades worth at least $20 before a certain point. At the time, each token was priced around $4.00, so they essentially gifted everyone who used the site at least $1600 worth of crypto. What did people do with it? Some immediately traded it to some other altcoin of choice they were invested in, others cashed out and bought themselves a PS5. Then there were the last batch that held.

And the price of UNI now? According to Binance, it's trading at $42.00, meaning if you just held the gift, you'd have an easy $16,800 right now.

Investing is a long term deal. Yes, there are people making it quick with Dogecoin or whatever flavor of the month crypto, but they are few and far in between. Time in the market >>> Timing the market.

That being said, once you have a sizable amount of wealth, say $50K, it's easy to make consistent returns with yield farming and other protocols in the DeFi as long as you only care about the money and not what you're investing in since you'll convert everything to ETH or USDC or some other stable coin either way.

Argue he should be found guilty. The footage that was first circulating is misleading because in one perspective it looks like his knee was on the neck, and on a bodycam, it the knee was on the shoulder blade. We don't know how his knee was on the neck if it was on there and for how long, nor do we know the weight distribution as Chauvin allowed Floyd to move his head around while shifted his weight accordingly to maintain the pin.

Also, yes, the knee restraint was taught in police training, the defense provided an article from the MN police department on how to do it.

What killed Floyd were the cocktail of drugs he took combined with a poor heart and medical history and him freaking out over the arrest. His heart couldn't take it.

which part of my post was non-factual or even remotely contentious

please, pinpoint it

the f*** else was trayvon supposed to do with some crazed, racist, hero-wannabe stalking him

For starters, he could have continued walking the 50-200 yards he was from his father's house (Zimmerman lost sight of him at that point) and not text his girlfriend "I'm gonna get that [white slur]" and turn around to find Zimmerman to attack him. If he survived the shooting, he would have been in jail for assault.

This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say the media successfully spun the narrative and spread propaganda. You got bamboozled by NBC and CNN. Most of the country did too. And the reason why they were able to get away with it is because culture has moved into a direction where if you question this and or vouch for the other side, you're deemed racist.

While I agree with you, I always found it strange calling a 17 year old a child. Trayvon Martin was a teen. George Zimmerman murdered a teen.

The media spread photos of Trayvon as a 10 year old to help push the propaganda title 'Half white man kills black boy'. cjsdowg falling for it 8 years later is proof of how effective it was. This was my big peeve with the whole case, the media spun the story to effectively tear the country apart and they got away with it.

it's the other way around crap follows zimmerman. he hasn't done anything positive other than possibly beating his wife or girlfriend and harassing a motorist from the last time he was in the news.

He was getting attacked (not physically) everywhere and all the time that he embraced the villain reputation people gave him.

Yeah, there'll be riots and such, but I'd also start wondering if someone will be crazy enough to assassinate Derek.

People still give Zimmerman crap and think he's guilty. It'll be another fun summer of riots so get ready lads.
