| Sahuagin 07/01/21 5:38:24 PM #7 | almost voted no, but forgot about one case with an independent computer store. it made no sense and the guy didn't know what he was talking about, but something along the lines of: he said everything was on warranty, but then when I said I would install the O/S myself he said "sure, but you're on your own", which he didn't make clear meant there was now zero warranty for some reason. then the mobo he sold me died almost immediately and he charged me parts/labour to fix it (this is like 1 day after I bought it). when I got upset about it he handled it extremely poorly and argued in a very bitter way about it with me, (using bone-headed logic like "you might have installed something which destroyed the motherboard!") which I was learning while going through this is why a better company doesn't do that kind of thing. you don't argue bitterly with your customers over the phone or in the store, that just looks terrible and won't ever get resolved. I had to be the bigger person, pay the stupid charge, and never come back. --- |

I watched him stunlock the final boss to death and he said it was a stupid design flaw that ruined an otherwise potentially good game, and he seemed right from what I saw. --- |

| Sahuagin 06/29/21 1:22:37 AM #15 | due to updates I don't think GPS works anymore on my phone since it's a good 10+ years old but I can still use google maps without it if it comes to that. last couple times though, I just had a good look at a map before going to a place, and then wandered around a bit when I got lost anyway, building up an idea of what the roads in that area are like and finally figuring my way out. main thing is not to panic and pay attention to your orientation and the roads you're taking. --- |

(see for example the gamecube and wii fire emblem games. on the gamecube one, normal and hard are as you'd expect. but on the wii one, normal is the same as the previous game's hard, and easy is the same as the previous game's normal.) Witcher 1 for me was really hard at first on normal until I got used to the combat. on hard supposedly you have to use all available buffs to stand a chance, but I don't think I tried it. hard is meant for people who already know the game, so they can have a reason to explore the game mechanics further than they did before. --- |
