At first I thought they were exaggerating by calling this cult-like behavior, as it just seemed more like sexual harassment/assault with a "teambuilding" veil, but then I read this:

Alive Seminars staff proceeded to dim the lights, says the suit. Plaintiff and the other attendees were instructed to stand up and close their eyes, pretending that a light from above would come down and take all the negative energy out of them, then pretend that a hole opened up in the ground and swallowed the negative energy. While this was happening, one of the Alive Seminars staff had a cell phone with the light on, recording plaintiff in her state of undress.

What the hell? What did this company think it was doing?

I'll add to the group that saw Romeo and Juliet in English class. Also, our biology teacher showed us the original Resident Evil at the end of the year, so there's that.

And not quite full nudity, but in the sixth grade we saw the movie Superstar with Molly Shannon and there are a lot of lingerie scenes that the whole class was freaking out about.

It's one of those "so bad it's good" type of movies, which already puts it higher than all the God's Not Dead movies, which were just painful throughout.

Plus, the whole movie is about Sorbo's character having a conflict of faith because his wife has cancer and might die, and in the end his wife dies anyways, which was unexpected for a movie like that.

Most people don't know that the film had a spiritual sequel/spinoff starring Sorbo's character publishing a book based on his near-death experience (where he actually died and came back to life).

It wasn't that bad imo.

It sounds like a lot of fun, actually. Those actors typically ham up their roles and I'd live for that. Usually the villain is the most memorable part of the film. Like in a Disney movie.

Which movie did you like the most?

Not including the various movie spinoffs and holiday specials for simplicity.

I might be biased because I saw the sequel first, but I found it more enjoyable than the original. The plot with Carol's previous husband was an interesting path for the series never explored in the show and I thought the jokes were funnier in this one.

I thought Jan and Carol stole the show (as well as Carol's ex-husband's character), and the ridiculous Greg/Marsha incest plotline was bizarre enough to be hilarious.

Buy a drawing/painting book and learn to draw/paint. It's therapeutic. Or even one of those adult coloring books would be fine. Just something to give your mind a break from constant visual stimulation from screens.

Other options include writing a short story, researching cool facts on Wikipedia on a subject you like, getting lost in TV Tropes, or buying an instrument and learn it.

Just some ideas.

I enjoyed it. I can already tell some of the twins' drama is going to be annoying at times, particularly Jordan. But that is really the only negative so far.

Clark and Lois are great, and feel like a genuine couple trying to figure things out. One thing I like about their plot is showing how Superman's vulnerability to more than just kryptonite. He struggles being a good father, and despite saving the world daily, struggles with money. I like it as he feels more real and relatable than previous incarnations.

I do like Jonathan and Jordan's brotherly dynamic. You can tell Jonathan cares for Jordan and looks out for him, but still plays the "jerk older brother" type of role.

The message of the song is that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
The whole message is she did ballet, her friends didn't like him and she stuck up her nose at his baggy clothes. He wasn't in 'her league' because she judged him based on his one interest that her friends thought was so bad and she let them decide her life and now she's missing out on the boy that man could be because she couldn't see past more than meets the eye

The girl in question isn't her. She's the boy (or at least she hopes to be).
The point of the song is she was basically the skater boy in that she was an actual skater and she ended up not being happy in school and now she's the the skater boy but just longing for her partner
Well this sure is a unique take.

I heard this song recently and the plot got me confused.

So in the song, the character (who I assume is Avril) rejects the boy because he's an unpopular sk8ter boi. Years later, as an abandoned single mother, she sees him in concert and now he's popular and everyone loves him, so she regrets not choosing him many years ago.

Then the narration shifts to a girl telling her "well tough luck, that boy's mine now", essentially saying she saw in him what this girl couldn't see in him back in high school. And now this girl gets to go with him to his concerts and they write a song together about the original girl's poor choices.

So is this new girl a completely new character with a perspective shift mid-song? Is she the original girl's made-up fantasy character of who she could have been had she accepted him? Or is the original girl the made up one, and this new girl is just writing a song about how horrible her life could have gone if she didn't choose him?

And on that note, what is the message of this song? Date the unpopular guy in high school because he will be popular later when it matters? The only thing that changed is that he became famous. Kinda goes against the "There is more than meets the eye" message if you are still judging him by superficial, external measures. What if he's a horrible person? <_<

These are the important questions I ponder during downtime at work.

Do you ever feel like a POS partner for being attracted to more fit people?
Ehh, not really.

If I see an attractive woman, and my wife is next to me, I'll flat out tell her something like "wow, look at the legs on her". My wife will then laugh and either agree or disagree. But she'll do the same to me if she sees an attractive guy and I'll comment as well. But that's just the kind of relationship we've built with each other, where we can be open about our attraction and we both understand we won't be the only person in our lives we will find attractive.

Does she feel insecure when I find a fitter woman attractive? Perhaps. But we are open about our communication and she knows I love her and only her, so that helps. So I guess I don't feel bad about it because it doesn't make me love my wife any less. If looks were the only reason I married her, then it would be a much bigger problem. But I married her for intelligence, personality, and humor. Plus, my wife is still plenty attractive, especially when she surprises me wearing negligee on a random Tuesday.

The short answer here is: you don't. No matter what type of girl you have, if you, as her bf/spouse/lover tells her she really should start working out unprovoked, she will take it as an attack on her appearance and get in the defensive. That's the kind of thing a female best friend or a hired fitness coach should tell her, not you.

In your case, you just need to be persistent about inviting her to work out with you whenever you are going. If she says no, accept it and ask her again next time. Don't get upset about it, or try to guilt her into doing it as that will likely be counterintuitive. Just be supportive and give her plenty of opportunities to do it. Eventually you might catch her in a mood where she just doesn't feel pretty, and rather than look at you as a source of stress, she will look at you as a source for a solution and might take you up on your offer one day. Plus, if she sees you getting fit from your own commitment to working out, it may also motivate her to join you.

Now, if she specifically brings the subject up, then it's okay to motivate her by offering to do something she likes. Find a workout she would enjoy doing and offer to do it with her. If she wants to do yoga, offer to go to yoga with her. Look for other options; suggest biking, dancing, one of the many fitness video games out on the market right now, etc. Maybe she just hasn't found something that speaks to her.

It's definitely a tough situation to be in. This happened to my wife for a while, and it's been a struggle to get her to move. I've managed to schedule weekend bike rides with her and that is helping a little. I know she'll never go running with me, so I'm willing to meet her halfway and do activities she wants to do.

This could also be done through a series of coincidences that makes the protagonist believe he time travelled, such as seeing a young kid who looks just like him and believing that's his younger self, or happening upon that one existing chain from his childhood that just happens to still be open, or going to a club with a specific theme of the decade he thinks he has travelled to.

So the protagonists causes mischief in the present thinking he's actually making changes in the past.
