but I never said the sport would crumble. All I said was that her contractual obligations are what they are, shes not FORCED to do interviews. She has options and one was to walk away because she felt her mental health was more important which I applaud her for. And as I have said was that her having issues with the media is clearly symptoms to a bigger problem she may have.

so not playing and focusing on tennis is probably her best recourse right now.

as for the whole press and media mandates theres a reason it exists and I dont know how many times you need to be told but its because it generates money and publicity for everyone involved. And that answers your continually shitty spokesman angle. NO ONE WANTS TO SEE SOME NOBODY SPEAK FOR THE ATHLETE. That doesnt generate interest, money or publicity.

But to my point about michael Jordan was that no matter the level, the skill or sport. Not one athlete is above the sport itself. He shockingly stepped away early and the NBA didnt crumble.

the whole reason for interviews with media is to broadcast an image. Its for advertisers and sponsors. Its for fans to see the human side of the athlete. Osaka stepping away hurts, but in the long run them keeping the media accessible to the athletes helps everyone in organization from the corporate side to the player side.

its almost like you have this narrow point of view and dont see the big picture of why things are they way they are.

Thats not how this works in this regard. She signed a contract to play professionally, takes their money when she wins and all the accolades and in return shes expected to uphold her end of the bargain of appearing to the media. she doesnt want to do that, shes taking a break to find herself. Not one person forced her to do anything.

And I know many people will probably disagree and thats fine.

I have a lot of childhood shows that I hold dear to my heart. But watching Bluey is like a whole other level of gut wrenching goodness. Instances of the best things I should have never watched.

and the latest episode I saw just makes it all the more true.

the episode is in season 2 and episode 9 which I just realized was released on Disney+ and watching it with my 3 year old I broke down into a sobbing mess. So many meanings, both literal and figurative. So many parallels. For both a child and a parent.

if youre a parent and havent watched bluey or if your kid isnt into it cause they havent seen it. I highly HIGHLY recommend the show. Its beautiful in every regard.

even if you arent a parent - it will pull your heart strings. It will perhaps remind you of a love one either here now or maybe passed on.

either way holy shit Im still an emotional mess right now and I just want to hold my daughter even closer and tighter than before.

You dump material into a character to level it to 70/80. The game gives you 3 acquaint fates. You respec the character to level 1 and take back the materials, and then leave the character at level 1 because you know you're never going to use it. In their eyes, they just gave you three free wishes.

like - allow players to drop characters back to base level and collect everything back. Not for free of course - but with an item you can get from a boss or whatever. I have a few characters I invested in I dont use cause I have better characters that fit my comps and I have characters I cant level cause Im low on materials.
