Some character-based examples: With Ironclad you can do it with exhaust synergies, vulnerable, and Dropkick. With Silent you can use discard, weak, Calculated Gamble, Tingsha, and Heel Hook. With Defect there are ways to spam Hologram and Meteor Strike, especially if you have Ice Cream. Watcher can stance dance her way to unlimited energy if you have a Tantrum, Calm, Empty (usually Empty Mind) and Rushdown cycle with a small enough deck. There are a bunch of variants of the above examples. Decisions they make would have to be consistent with their characterization, which you have control over as the writer. What variance there is in those decisions, if youre not going to rely on RNG, is going to need to be planned out. If a character would press a button in one scenario, but not in another, the mechanism for that shift needs to be implemented somewhere. depending on how immersed you want the player to be as their character, there is always going to be some level of disconnect between what the player knows and what the character knows. And the thing to remember is that the player doesnt have to be aware theyve affected an outcome. So if youre making a single player game, but the actions of the NPCs is determined by their current knowledge and what they think, the easiest way to manipulate that would he subtle player choices, whether through dialogue options, side quests, etc. if you choose a wrong dialogue option for one character early on, they might hate you, and be more willing to put you in the cross-hairs. if you want to get more advanced, you can have a separate flag for another character, and calculate the choice to consider their opinion of you, with the likelihood that another character would make a decision to benefit you. if the player is going to playing multiple parallel scenarios, you should probably prepare for the fact that the player will likely try to influence those parallel scenarios based on their success/failure in another one. idk >_> Will definitely take this all into consideration. --- "I play with myself" - Darklit_Minuet, 2018
