Yeah the wings are about as successful as you can get during our time really.

Habs have had some sick underdog runs like when they best the pens and caps and lost to Boston but they haven't gotten the ship during my time as a fan.

Wow that's a great story. I nearly went to Bonnaroo one year but cancelled at the last minute. I love concerts but I'm not a fan of big festivals like that. Bands never get enough time to play more than their hits before walking off the stage. If I'm paying a ton of money to see you, I wanna here some deep cuts! Thats why Pearl Jam concerts are so incredible. Each tour they'll focus on only 1-2 albums and their b-sides.

Festivals can be absolutely incredible though. I never heard of Charles Bradley before I saw him at sasquatch and he was fucking unbelievable. The whole atmosphere and the chance to see artists you wouldn't otherwise is really amazing. I saw a dic about him afterwards and it made it extra special. Really sucks he died too young and really sucks he never made it till like 50.

Also like 2 years before that I saw die antwoord at sasquatch and I hadn't done acid before so I took a ton of acid and Holy shit their dj was terrifying. I spent the whole show just on the edge of being able to tolerate it / super into it / terrified and wanting to leave / super into it.

That was like 2009 or 20010 or something. Turns out they're absolute assholes, but in that moment they were incredible.

I've met extremely few people outside of hockey or mma/jiu jitsu but for football Danny watkins was from around here and a high draft pick in the NFL (afaik he never amounted to much beyond having ing a semi lengthy career by NFL standards) and he was a great dude from what I saw of him.

Dan Severn is a ufc legend and was cool as hell. I met him when he was 50 and still fighting and I'm not kidding when I say the dude would smash me and two clones of myself. Lol.

Also Alan Goes was a really inspirational guy I got to meet a few times. He was an 8 time world bjj champ and one of maybe 2 or 3 early bjj guys who surpassed the gracies.

Okay story time, not sure why this popped into my brain. About 4 years ago, we had this music festival kind of close called Bonaroo and it's like a 3 day event with a ton of musicians. I was working at this place that was a lodge with cabins and a gift shop with a ton of antiques and a piano.

So I'm closing up, its 5 minutes til we shut down and some dick comes through the door, sits down at the piano and belts out "Piano Man" and did a real great job of it. So I was like okay that was cool, not mad that you didnt keep me from closing earlier. So dude comes to the register and says "Piano is out of tune" and fuck me it was literally Billy Joel, he had played that night at the festival. I squeaked out like a little bitch "have a good night" because I knew exactly who he was and had no words. Hes one of my favorite artists ever and I just got to hear half of Piano Man all by myself from the legend.

Awesome moment.

Guy is a Pakistani man, his wife brought me lunch yesterday. They are just real kind people, living here I think they get a lot of shit for their race but I could tell he really needed help here bad so I was happy to step in. Only reason he got to go to his brothers wedding this weekend is because I stepped in to work here. He said he hadn't gotten a single job application in months.

Thats really good of you and them. Working for good people makes work so much more rewarding.

I feel like thats similar to the Chinese couple who run the Chinese restaurant here. They are open 8-2 and 4-9 6 days a week and are the only staff besides one other lady who is part time... I've seen people be very rude to them to the point its like why the fuck are you eating Chinese food then?

I could never work those kind of hours 6 days a week indefinitely. I've done 12+ hour day for a month straight but I knew it was gonna end and had a payoff.
