| Axl_Rose_85 05/04/21 10:40:43 PM #75 | I'd like to say Final Fantasy but then there's stuff like Crystal Chronicles, Tactics Advance 2 and Type-0 that I have absolutely zero interest in (pun intended). I'd like to say Metal Gear but then there's stuff like Acid and whatever that pathetic attempt at cash grab was that Konami absolutely miserably failed at after Kojima left. I'd like to say Zelda but then there is stuff like those godawful Tri-Force Heroes and those musou games that I personally will never like (although I do like Persona 5 Strikers a lot). I'd like to say Mario but then there is countless sports games and party games that forget completing them all, but I don't even care enough to know how many there are by now. I'd like to say Resident Evil but then there is stuff like Umbrella Chronicles, Dead Aim, Operation Raccoon City and hoooboy, the granddaddy of em' all, perhaps the best game ever made, Resident Evil Gaiden. Persona has those dancing games, Kingdom Hearts has this new rhythm game and all those mobile whatevers, Suikoden has Tactics and Tierkries. So looks like the winner is Xenoblade Chronicles or Xeno games by default for me. I'd like to also say FromSoftware games but no way in hell am I playing King's Field and all those pre-Demon's Souls games. |

The other ones I tried like Code Vein, The Surge and Jedi Fallen Order were not very good whereas Nioh 1 can actually compete with the weakest of the FromSoftware entries. Even 2 is very good but feels more like an massive expansion than a sequel. |

I'm not sure how you get either Legolas or Gimli over him without basing the decision on some bit of cinematography from the films. They're pretty much the literal definition of 2D stand-ins for their respective races, and even the part where their cultural heritage could have had some impact on the story (Moria) it's still Frodo and Gandalf that really get shit done. As much as I like Gimli and Legolas, this is the reason why I would never put them anywhere close to Aragorn, Gandalf and Sam. |

| Axl_Rose_85 04/19/21 12:44:37 AM #33 | The Legend of Dragoon is a very good game with a pretty good but predictable JRPG storyline. I recommend it to JRPG fans. Play the PSP version of Persona 1. It is much better than the PS1 with it's terrible load times, cut content and the abomination of a overworld map in that version. As for Persona 2 IS and EP. I kinda liked playing the fan translation of IS (which is very good) and EP on the same console. The PSP version is just as good though. However do not expect Persona 1 and the 2 games to be anywhere near the level of 3, 4, 5. Keep your expectations in check and those will be ok to good games. |

I truly find it astonishing how much love people suddenly started pouring over it after the debacle that is 3D All Stars. I still resent that collection for not including Galaxy 2 and I hated Sunshine even more than I remember going after my 2nd ever 100% run. It sucked so bad. Laziest cash grab effort from Nintendo ever. Sorry I turned this into a 3D All Stars topic. This is just how much I hate the Galaxy 2 snub. |

I've played FFX so many times that I have gotten quite consistently good with the mini-games. The first time ever though was terrible. Playing a shit ton of Blitzball for Wakka's weapon is such a slog though. After your team gets strong enough, Blitzball kinda becomes mind numbingly boring and easy. |

How was it going to a bland direction when literally every game in the series is so different from one another? (especially after FFVI) It is this aspect of the FF games that makes it my favorite series in video games even though its latest ventures have been a noticeably lower in quality. |

I imagine it is the slow battle speed that is a huge turn off for current players otherwise the game has aged very well. Overall gameplay is such a step back from the greatness of VII and VIII though. |

Uninspired map and mechanics of a poor poor man's Final Fantasy Tactics. My hatred for the game runs even deeper than having put so many hours into it because I actually expected something faithful to the original FFT. |

I spent about 150 hours in that game and heard from people that the gameplay is basically the same in the entire series. Maybe it is because the story and characters wasn't exactly my cup of tea but the gameplay was very good. |

I liked the Georama system though but apart from that there is very few things I liked about that game. Story and characters are downright embarrassing as well. |
