Haven't had a COVID shot yet, but I get similar from the flu shot. Moving a lot reduces the soreness for whatever reason. Which is of course slightly complicated by the fact that the flu shot makes me sleepy for a day.

Got moderna dose 1. Moving did not help with arm pain, may have made it worse.

Pain was highest almost exactly 12 hours after getting the shot. Keeping my arm completely straight relieved pain.

At about 18 hours now and the pain has mostly subsided.

I actually agree. Corporate management (in the US, anyway) will always respond to financial trouble by punishing their workers before punishing themselves.

It's Biden's fault that he campaigned on "$2000 checks will go out immediately" while all the time knowing that it wouldn't be "immediate" or $2000. If you aren't capable of effectively getting your message across to voters, that's your personal failing and not on the voters for being too dumb to understand you.

The bill has incredible high support numbers. So what are you even try to say with ineffective messaging.

I mean that's more on dumb people not understand how legislation works than it is on Biden. "Early March" is basically immediately by government standards. It was clearly a high priority. It isn't Biden's fault people are too dumb to understand that!

I mean it is his fault that he didn't commit to a more generous or recurring package or push for better unemployment but I don't blame his for the timing because this was what most people assumed was best case scenario.

They could have passed $2000 checks immediately but it would mean losing literally everything else in this bill as you'd still need to burn the reconciliation process

Well it seems to me like Joe Biden probably shouldn't have promised on the campaign trail and on his campaign website to fix that problem in his "first 100 days" in office if he has no power to do so.

I might be alone on the stake burning thing but throughout Wanda's extended therapy session there seemed to be a drive to her beyond 'I want your power', and as said earlier she could've been genuinely concerned about the havoc Wanda would wreak on the world. $300 for an extra month minus taxes is actually more money than the $400. Obviously it's not as good as $400 no taxes, but I have to accept that was never the initial plan and so I can't fairly be mad it's not a thing.

So I'll accept this as long as Manchin doesn't fuck it up. I'm still not happy with all of the backing down, but the math suggests this doesn't actually screw me so whatever.

They were from two different drops.

Basically. If the Democrats hypothetically find some way to stall for months, which would have meant holding up all Senate proceedings, they would have gotten crushed in Georgia.

Any long term plan would stick the narrative of democrats blocking aid.

Amyway people should absolutely be pressing their senators and representatives for more aid.

I hate to retread old themes but there is still a need for immediacy in this bill as it funds many expiring programs.

There isn't necessarily time to apply pressure in ways you might want.
