Garland would have been put in quickly after the election and RGB would have retired early in the term and also likely gotten replaced with a moderate.

Would they replace them with a really liberal candidate? Probably not, but another Garland level candidate would be a big improvement

I didn't know that it was in the rules that the character needed to physically appear on screen to be viable. I guess I must have missed that one! Oopsie Daisy!

It had literally never come up before so it was not a defined rule.

But now it has come up and the contest runner gave a ruling that they do need to actually appear as more than a picture. So that's a new rule.

Might well be one that gets debated and changed for next contest but that's the rule for now.

Id say the difference is that one is a cartoon character treated as a popular mascot rather than a random play character being played by an actor.

There is no dog 'playing' Stamp. He is just an in game cartoon.

In the other cases you would have to seperate the character from the actor playing them.

Here is a question. Where did that nom rush organize? Like it was clearly a coordinated push or one triggered by something.
