By now the vast majority of players that still play GTA are definitely online players. R* is able to milk a portion of these people for an entire dev cycle so the focus won't be on single player. My bet is that we won't see single player being removed as R* knows that a sizeable portion of sales in the 1st year are from people who (also) play single player. But we'll see an even bigger focus on multiplayer for sure.

That's exactly what I said when she asked me. She's pretty adamant on keeping and using it as it belonged to her father. Thinking of taking it home and checking if it's able to run Windows 7 or 8.

Not even able to do a hard connection which baffles me. It's literally just connecting a cable into the proper port.
I'm thinking I might need to connect it to my PC to install drivers and updates. That or use a flash drive with the proper installs on it

That's the problem. I'm not even able to do that despite device manager saying everything is running properly.

Since I'm in a topic with a bunch of IT guys...might be a good time to ask a question.
I am a bit of a noob when it comes to networks. A friend of a friend now has her recently deceased father's old-ass laptop running Windows XP (still Service Pack 1) and she asked me to connect it to her Wifi.
After some thinkering and research I managed to finally connect it to the router. Using the.ancient Internet Explorer it has I'm able to use Google, but as soon as I try to connect to a site or do an update to Service Pack 2 or 3 it says there's no connection.

Is there a workaround or am I better off hooking it up to my PC and updating it to Service Pack 2 so it has WPA support as it currently only has WEP? Even hooking it up to the router with an ethernet cable doesn't seem to establish a connection.

There's is a huge knowledge gap I've found. Some people's reaction to confusing technology stuff is just to reflexively never use it. So rather than develop any fundamental learning of systems that can give them a basic clue on how to figure the rest out, they just proudly never learn a thing.

It's generally quite a satisfying job in many respects with reasonable hours and reasonable pay. So it has some shitty customer service quirks. As much as we like to bitch about u$ers in IT, I think IT guys tend to get a bit fucking carried away with it tbh. I agree to some extent. While I'm not in IT I do a lot of IT work for family and friends and I tend to keep my cool most of the time.
But I can't fathom how a teacher in this day and age simply doesn't know the phrase "password for my Wifi", especially when they've been teaching from home during quarantines. The only reason I can think of is that they are a year away from retirement

Also make sure to come into the staff room where the principal is (CEO) talking to me about my vacation and interrupt with 'I could literally not do any work since the code was never given to me' which then gets a response of 'yes, there was a code you asked for but never clarified what code it was. It's like a parent calling you and telling you that their child is out sick but never naming the child'

Then the principal sighs and explains unless we know what code is needed then it can't be helped.

Definitely, I wasn't ignoring that.
It's just the 1st major incident in over a decade as far as I know. Compared to it being front and center in European news every single time certain match-ups happened in previous decades.
The English and Germans to a lesser extent were so known for their hooligan culture that movies and even a damn RTS game were made about it.

Hooligans were constantly featured in the news in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. More severe punishment by government and lifetime stadium bans seem to have brought toxicity down considerably when compared to those days. Or they're just doing it low key.

How did the Camp Nightwing of the movie compare to that of the book? Was there some clear tie-in/inspiration or was it more of just an easter egg thing?

It's just the setting IIRC. Main character is a female camp counselor. Accidents start happening in the camp resulting in the death of another counselor. She suspects foul play and worries the killer might target her next as she tries to uncover their identity. Don't remember if the book and movie share characters, it's been 20 years since I last read it.

I really could care less myself, I'm just stating I think Disney won't make the movie version of Black Panther a woman. There are tons of white male heroes (i.e. the first Captain America, Ironman, Thor, The Hulk, Dr. Strange, etc) to star in the Marvel movie universe, so replacing them probably isn't seen as a big deal to Disney. On the other hand, T'Challa is currently the only black man to have been the lead hero in a Disney Marvel movie.

And you don't think being the 1st to nab "black female lead" wouldn't matter to them? Especially when the competition pushed Wonder Woman (supposed 1st female lead) to the forefront? Especially when recent Disney movies featured non white women as leads?
