Taking 15 minute breaks to pump/breastfeed every few hours isnt a big deal, and you should be able to get your work done still. When you're taking care of an infant you're not standing over them staring at them the whole time. If you're at home with them you're probably doing dishes, cleaning rooms, etc while they sleep, why cant you instead do your office duties instead?

You are talking about two different scenarios

1. Pumping: 10-30min, some cleanup, youre done.
2. Breastfeeding -> diaper -> playing -> diaper -> ritual to get baby to bed -> diaper ->repeat the ritual -> nap

Seriously have you cared for an infant? You operate on their schedule.

Go to the teller and ask if it will be released immediately

Policies obv vary by bank, but if its a paycheck from a local/reputable business and especially if its one for an amount youve been depositing every week/two weeks for a while, they will generally remove the hold even if its not explicit policy

If you have a 4 month old, then you should be aware of the fact that they sleep for about 16 hours a day. If you cant manage to work while they're asleep, then yea.. you are useless. Taking care of a sleeping infant is easy enough that you should be able to.

What you're saying is sexist; you're assigning a role to an entire gender based of their reproductive ability. You're insinuating that if a woman gives birth they should have to (potentially) sacrifice their job entirely, as opposed to the world moving forward into an age where mothers can do both.

If you're working a Mcjob, obviously dont bring your child to work. But if you're working somewhere like a DMV, Administration office, ect.. it really isnt that big a deal. Plus like someone else said, lots of companies have onsite nurseries; even my highschool did (for both students and teachers).

Where did i say a mother has to be the one watching the kid? Seriously, find it. You might find the part where i mention that ive taken time off to watch my kid. The sexist angle is 100% made up.

And yeah babies sleep a lot. Often in 30-45 minute increments. Then they need diaper changes, to be fed, to be entertained, etc. It is absolutely not cruise control.

I never want to have children. I genuinely think that a lot of people who do have them shouldn't. But even I know that only a total asshole says shit like, "Stay home with your kid, lady," because it's revoltingly sexist AND it's bad for society as a whole.

Do you know what happens to society when it becomes so prohibitively expensive and socially hostile to have a child? People stop having children! Then you end up with an upside down triangle population. Just look at Japan and their looming population crisis with a massive elderly population that cannot be supported by the relatively tiny youth/young adult population.

Also, just... have some empathy? Can you imagine how difficult it is to try to care for an infant, nurse, and work? Can you even begin to conceive of how PHYSICALLY DRAINING that is? For your body to literally provide nourishment to another?

Do you have any idea how expensive formula is? Like genuinely. Tell me how much you think one can is and how long you think it lasts.

Lactation room is the technical term. Breastfeeding room is more slang; but some mothers do have to bring their children to work, and its not really a big deal. Say your nanny comes down with the flu, what is the mother supposed to do? Think a little harder next time.
