| waterdeepchu 06/23/21 12:47:21 PM #3 | I'll always love Pokemon Blue. It was my first Pokemon game, and changed my life. And I still play it occasionally. But its very hard to not notice how bad they were mechanically compared to where we are now. Wrap, having to manually change PC boxes, Pokeballs could straight up Miss - not catch the pokemon and immediately open, just completely missing. Wrap. Sleep. Sleep combined with Wrap. No way to unlearn moves, no way to tell what a move would do, would have to use a TM to find out whats in it, Which was annoying because of the super limited inventory spaces. Ghost was supposed to be super effective against psychic, but it ended up accidentlaly being unable to hit Psychic at all. not that it mattered since there were only two Ghost moves, one of them always doing set damage and the other being awful. Dragon is Supposed to be super effective against Dragon, but the only Dragon move is Dragon Rage. There's a lot more about those games I'm not mentioning, because I have to stop somewhere.
