I've never read the novels or seen the movies, but:

This is almost every YA novel series, at least early on. It's meant to show character growth, usually. I would wager she starts off dumb and naive but gradually learns as people fuck her over and she experiences consequences.

Just a guess, though, I have absolutely no familiarity with the series.

She actually does start off pretty smart but naive to some extent as well. She thinks everyone is an enemy and doesnt see the hidden meaning behind anything except what her mentor does. Its so dumb.

There was one section that made me pull my damn hair out.

The newly appointed game maker asked her to dance at a party. He showed her his watch and in it was a very sophisticated hidden design of a mockingjay that can only be seen at a certain angle. He even went out of his way to say its a one of a kind. She knew at the time what the mockingjay represented but she couldnt put it together? She never even figured out that he was an ally until he told her directly.

The fuck? You cant be that stupid. It was so obvious. Dont get me started on how she couldnt figure out that Peeta was in love with her in the first book. Jesus Christ

Im finally getting around to these famous books and its definitely solid so far. I do have a really annoying issue so far Katnuss gets on my damn nerves. How can she be so smart but so stupid? Good lord. So many obvious signs of what people are actually thinking and she goes the complete opposite direction all the time. She rarely even considers the alternative.

Come on. People tell her such important clues that are pretty damn obvious and she doesnt have a damn clue? Come the fuck on.

Its crazy. Its every year. People ask me this year if Ive put up lights or a Christmas tree. I tell them I havent yet, still thinking I might put ups tree at lest but not doing it yet is awful I guess. The disappointment I get from other people is astonishing. Like Ive committed some awful sin.

Its the same when someone ask me what my favorite Christmas song is and I tell them I dont really like Christmas music much anymore. The look on their face has horror but I can at least get out of that one by telling them Ive worked at Walmart for 5 years at one point which blasts these songs for many months each year.

Ive also been called a grinch by a friend of mine Ive known on Xbox for many years. Never actually met him but he wanted to now my address to send me a Christmas card. I politely decline because I didnt want to give out my address but that was too anti Christmas as well I guess.

Im not actively going around telling people Christmas sucks. In fact, if sucks for me specifically for personal reasons. Yet Im looked at like Im awful every year because people dont like the answers I give from their questions. I guess I should just lie to everyone every year for my own sanity.

Im not exaggerating based on this article.

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/global-race-patch-critical-computer-193652362.html

A critical vulnerability in a widely used software tool one quickly exploited in the online game Minecraft is rapidly emerging as a major threat to organizations around the world.

The internets on fire right now," said Adam Meyers, senior vice president of intelligence at the cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike.

People are scrambling to patch, he said, "and all kinds of people scrambling to exploit it." He said Friday morning that in the 12 hours since the bug's existence was disclosed that it had been "fully weaponized, meaning malefactors had developed and distributed tools to exploit it.
The flaw may be the worst computer vulnerability discovered in years. It was uncovered in a utility that's ubiquitous in cloud servers and enterprise software used across industry and government. Unless it is fixed, it grants criminals, spies and programming novices alike easy access to internal networks where they can loot valuable data, plant malware, erase crucial information and much more.

Id be hard-pressed to think of a company thats not at risk, said Joe Sullivan, chief security officer for Cloudflare, whose online infrastructure protects websites from malicious actors. Untold millions of servers have it installed, and experts said the fallout would not be known for several days.
Amit Yoran, CEO of the cybersecurity firm Tenable, called it the single biggest, most critical vulnerability of the last decade and possibly the biggest in the history of modern computing.

The vulnerability, dubbed Log4Shell, was rated 10 on a scale of one to 10 the Apache Software Foundation, which oversees development of the software. Anyone with the exploit can obtain full access to an unpatched computer that uses the software,
Experts said the extreme ease with which the vulnerability lets an attacker access a web server no password required is what makes it so dangerous.

New Zealand's computer emergency response team was among the first to report that the flaw was being actively exploited in the wild" just hours after it was publicly reported Thursday and a patch released.
The vulnerability, located in open-source Apache software used to run websites and other web services, was reported to the foundation on Nov. 24 by the Chinese tech giant Alibaba, it said. It took two weeks to develop and release a fix.

But patching systems around the world could be a complicated task. While most organizations and cloud providers such as Amazon should be able to update their web servers easily, the same Apache software is also often embedded in third-party programs, which often can only be updated by their owners.

Yoran, of Tenable, said organizations need to presume theyve been compromised and act quickly.

The first obvious signs of the flaw's exploitation appeared in Minecraft, an online game hugely popular with kids and owned by Microsoft. Meyers and security expert Marcus Hutchins said Minecraft users were already using it to execute programs on the computers of other users by pasting a short message in a chat box.

Microsoft said it had issued a software update for Minecraft users. Customers who apply the fix are protected, it said.

Researchers reported finding evidence the vulnerability could be exploited in servers run by companies such as Apple, Amazon, Twitter and Cloudflare.

Cloudflare's Sullivan said there we no indication his company's servers had been compromised. Apple, Amazon and Twitter did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

This article is insanely long so Ill summarize. Bungie has been having similar work culture issues as other AAA companies. From racism/sexism to crunch to rockstar mentality. They appear to be, unlike the other companies, actually trying and making real progress.

The comments are pretty much people mocking Bungies employees that came out in this article and/or mocking the company itself for trying to change. Its crazy. How are either of those things bad?

Here is the article. Its extremely long.
