The threat of being confronted by Angel, having to answer for his disappearance, new questions over BHB, possibly being tied up in the legal system for years, being the subject of sustained scrutiny by the media and public probably wasn't a prospect that thrilled Dexter.

Dexter being ousted as the BHB only happened because of retcons of things that never happened in the original series. Weal marks are never once mentioned and something like that would've been picked up on by Lundy (who is repeatedly acknowledged as a master of catching serial killers and noticing details/patterns). Dexter also never used ketamine in the original series and Angela learns this from a fucking Google search from a non official police source.

This is one of those things where as unsatisfying as it may be "You're looking way too hard into this" definitely applies. Not only on this but this can apply to pretty much every other form of written/visual media lol.

The Ketamine thing in particular is really quite silly to get worked up over, considering for the purposes of the story it's the exact same chemical fulfilling the exact same purpose.

Also why does it matter if Google was used?

how would she know that Dexter was defenseless? As far as she knew he was a serial killer who just murdered one of her friends and Harrison was in the process of confronting him over it when Harrison shot him.

It was incredibly rushed and needed at least 2 more episodes, if not essentially a redux to S2 with a new manhunt.

That feels... excessive

Iunno going from where 9 left off it feels like most of the events followed a pretty logical progression.

I mean if the finale were actually terribly made then I could maybe get it, but you guys are completely losing your minds over it.

If you don't like how it went then that's fine. You can say that. It doesn't need to be the worst thing ever or pulled apart in obsessive detail like people are doing lol
