It's successful because the characters are amazing. But for games?

Sonic is fast. You go fast, you can't see what's coming up.
You hit bumps and spikes and fall and all that cuz you can't react fast enough.
Sonic games slow things down, like Unleashed.
People complain that it's too slow, that Sonic should be about speed.
They speed it back up, but in order to fix the first problem, they set you on a track and basically make the game play itself, which is what we have now.

Nearly every speedy level, you can hold forward and press A every once in a while, and beat all of those stages.
I've watched a YouTuber go through a side-scroller stage. The boosters and whatnot got him through a third of the stage WITHOUT HIM EVER TOUCHING THE CONTROLLER.

And there's nothing they can do to change this. Sonic is stuck. He is speed. And speed is bad for video games, as people need to see things in order to react to them.

What do you mean?

people who bought the DLC before they made it free were supposed to get some stuff as compensation, but it isn't working for everyone. there's also a problem where the only DLC pack you can get in-game is the independence pack, even if you have everything from back when you had to pay for it. so not only do i not get the rewards for actually buying the DLC, they actually took it away. everything worked fine before they changed it to juggernaut edition...

i submitted a support ticket with pics showing i bought the deluxe version but had nothing, and all they said was 'it's a known issue.' aside from that, i like the game. i don't like how it seems to be night time 80% of the time, though... plague shit turning everything red doesn't help either
