Yes it is, people do this all the time, to get the license plate number. They did not confront her or go up to her "house". They were in the street. It's what people do all the time, and people foillow hit and run perps while calling police all the time. Just because she tried to play bandit and got killed doesn't make it wrong.

You said they tried to stop her once at an intersection though, which isn't on them to do. Follow sure, but not try to stop. Also why did it take them so long to get the plates? I feel they should have gotten it before reaching her house.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling slammed transgender activists Monday for publicizing her home address on social media.

On Friday night, the eve of Transgender Day of Remembrance, comedian Holly Stars, actor Georgia Frost and drag king Richard Energy staged a demonstration in front of Rowling's home near Edinburgh, Scotland, in protest against her controversial views on the trans community.

In a thread on Twitter, Rowling bashed the trio for "doxxing" her when they posted a now-deleted photo on the social media site with her home address visible in the background. "Doxxing" is the publication of someone's private information online without their consent.

"I have to assume that @IAmGeorgiaFrost, @hollywstars and @Richard_Energy_ thought doxxing me would intimidate me out of speaking up for womens sex-based rights," Rowling wrote. "They should have reflected on the fact that Ive now received so many death threats I could paper the house with them, and I havent stopped speaking out."

"Perhaps and Im just throwing this out there the best way to prove your movement isnt a threat to women, is to stop stalking, harassing and threatening us," she added.

Stars defended posting the photo and said she deleted the tweet after she received online threats.

"While we stand by the photo, since posting it we have received an overwhelming amount of serious and threatening transphobic messages so have decided to take the photo down," Stars wrote. "Love to our trans siblings."

The disagreement is the latest battle in a war between Rowling and trans activists. Over the last several years, Rowling has been criticized for her controversial views on the trans community, which some have called transphobic.

Seriously, say what you want about Rowling but what does doxxing her accomplish? You know other than trying to get her killed which is fucked up. Yes, so much more fucked up than any comment that has come out of her mouth.
