Mario is not any one thing. It's what people missed when they panicked at Nintendo taking away Mario's plumber status for a short time period (which they brought back in less than a year I believe). He's whatever Nintendo needs him to be, much like Mickey Mouse back in the day, or many of the other famous cartoons of our ancestor's heyday.

If they need him to be a plumber, he's a plumber; if they need him to be a chosen hero, he's a chosen hero; if they need him to be a performer for a theater troupe, then he's a god damn performer for a theater troupe. Super Mario the plumber may be his most iconic title, but in reality, he's everything. That's why we've had Doctor Mario, and the athlete Mario's that are more than willing to hang out with the likes of Bowser/Wario/etc.

You could argue that Mario is like Barbie in that regard. To define her by one job is to miss the point of Barbie.

Superman fans are a little tired of non-Superman fans trying to rewrite the character to align with their own justifications or edgy people just wanting to make anything edgy. It's a frequent tease as well, to the point where it's not even something that is exciting anymore. It also paints Superman as somebody who is secretly a psychotic time-bomb underneath it all, which again, is disrespectful to the character, and the fans of him. I do think Red Son is actually a really good version of the "Evil Superman" but for the most part, it's just either a story to give Batman some glory due to DC's hyperactive love of him to their downfall, or someone's power fantasy story that ends up becoming something like Invincible (which I love btw since I don't consider Invincible necessarily an Evil Superman story) but with less blood since it's still Superman and they don't want to make him rated R.

Protip: Research Sicilian-style/grandma-style pizzas for best results at home. Most home-grown pizzas fall flat bc theyre conceived without a pizza oven in mind & pizza ovens are capable of reaching temps regular at-home ovens arent capable of. Those two were basically designed around being good pizzas cooked at lower temps
I'll have to look into that. My dad has attempted homemade pizza (albeit he usually goes cheap with ingredients like using the dreaded Ragu pizza sauce), and most of his attempts at traditional pizza have always had this slightly strange taste to them. Usually, if he goes for St. Louis-style, he gets better results, but still, it's one of the reasons I have been put off of making my own. I actually bought everything you would need a few years ago, but never found the time or motivation to fully go through with it unfortunately.

Nice job! Those pies are pretty impressive looking.

I wish I could say I was into cooking, but honestly, the only thing I ever made was breadsticks and marinara sauce that I was trying to make like Crazy Bread.

Other than that, not really. Always wanted to try to make homemade pizza, but it seems a little daunting. Pizza can be very mediocre if made cheaply or improperly, which I wouldn't want to go through all the effort of making one if ordering a pizza would be better tasting, cheaper, and a more efficient use of my time.

I'm starting to feel that pit in my stomach that usually pops up when I feel overwhelmed, with the MCU.

It's not at the level where it is too much quite yet, but it's at the point where I feel like the dam is about to burst. Part of the appeal of the MCU is it takes the best of the best from the comics and puts it in a format that makes it easily digestible, but it's starting to feel as convoluted and unfriendly to get into as comics are. I mean, as a series goes on as long as the MCU has, you could argue this was inevitable, but part of what helped the MCU out for so long is that it had a bottleneck of two-three movies a year. Now there are that many movies planned a year... but in addition to that, there are TV shows you have to worry about too, and on top of that, Loki has caused a potential for a viewer to have to keep up with multiple universes in order to understand what's happening in the main continuity.

Again, I have been able to keep up with it fine for the most part, but I've always felt multiversal stuff is when shows start to fall off the rails, and typically when they should stop. Not to mention, the MCU had an overall satisfying conclusion with Endgame, so it might suffer from the same decay shows that pull out a great big bad suffer when they have to follow it up because the networks like the money it draws in. Eventually, it gets to the point where there is horrible power-creep that throws things into an endless loop. A part of me fears that the MCU will not end on its own terms with dignity, but will die with a whimper. If you had to compare it to another superhero franchise, the original Superman movies faced that problem! Superman III was just a step-down while Superman IV gave the series a pathetic end. Sure, its decay happened at a much faster-rate, but I'd hate to wake up one day and realize that's where the MCU is at.

There are still a few movies I have to look forward to, such as Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange II, and GotG 3, and I hope more as well, but as I said, the multiverse gimmick only is fun for so long before even it gets stale... and once you introduce a multiverse, everything else feels like a step down.

We watched that animated movie in school, wouldn't doubt you guys did too. It's obvious to see all the stories inspired by it.

Still, John Henry had somewhat of a pyrrhic victory that even young me understands. The movie portrays how the heart of a human is stronger than all, as he beat the steam-powered machine that threatened to uplift everyone's jobs. Still, he was peak human and even he barely bested the machine. Even worse, it cost him his life. The movie ends with everyone keeping their jobs but we know that machines did end up winning, and probably really shortly afterwards. As someone in the present, we saw technology and automation.

It was the final week of 7th grade. I got two other friends to do it with me during lunch. Then the 8th-grade principal came over and lectured us, telling us we need to start acting mature like 8th graders since we were about to become 8th graders. :'(

You're not wrong, lol.

Like, as powerful as the brain is, you'd think we would have some sort of manual shut-off function. Like, DANGER, DANGER, INTRUDER DETECTED. GO INTO OVERHAUL. And when you start sneezing, coughing, wheezing, you can consciously go "Oh, I'm okay. Stop." and the allergic response turns off.
That would be a miracle for my quality of life... and my wallet.

Asthma ain't cheap, man! I used to hate the word asthma itself as if it was an external rival of mine. Really, it's just my body being dumb and not understanding that it's doing self-harm. It's just one of the exploits of our system I guess.

Literally wtf man. Just tell my airways to stop being such little barnacles by being overly-dramatic because a speck of dust touched its walls. Like, duddeeee. Do you really think swelling up, muscles tightening, and an abundance of mucus is the appropriate response to this? You know you'll die if you don't stop this! You will DIE!!!!

Bro, it's like, an ant is found inside a building so the government decides to nuke the entire city to get rid of it. Come on bro! Like man, stop! Are you really telling me that our brain is the pinnacle of brains?

Btw, my lungs/airways are D- tier for sure.
