Probably reviewers getting paid. Games looks mid to me. Just dishonored with a different gimmick. (I didnt like dishonored so Im biased) It looked mid to me too until I saw gameplay. Tbh the constant trailers they shoved in our faces made the game looked worse than it was. The marketing team totally fucking screwed up in that regard. I watched a gameplay video and it looked much better to me than the shit they were shoving in our faces all this time. Also yeah, paid reviewers are the number one thing I look out for which is why this situation looks sketchy. --- |

But because I'm so interested in the lore of nier and FF14, it makes my mind wander about the possibilities. If only I could get Yoko Taro himself to sit down so I could talk to him directly. | SpiritSephiroth 09/03/21 7:55:37 AM #1 | Just wanted to clarify, I've played Drakengard 3, Nier and Nier Automata. I haven't played the first two Drakengards unfortunately (Although I know Drakengard 2 takes a totally different branch in terms of continuity). I've also read almost all the short stories regarding Drakengard 3. In the Raids, its implied that the watchers came to Eorzea right? How did this happen? Is it because 9S and 2B came to their world through the Ark via the end of Nier Automata? Did that trigger another apocalyptic event like it did in at the end of Drakengard 1 which caused the Nier catastrophe over Tokyo? It seems really familiar. As if the Warrior of Light wasn't there to stop it, Eorzea would have suffered the same fate as what happened in Nier because of the queen beast (Which is technically Zero right?) spreading the magical disease which could have destroyed the First, and maybe even seeped into the other shards like the Source. I can understand why a lot of people didn't like the story in the raids, but I think there are tons of implications in it once you know a lot of the backstory in the other games. Also an event like Drakengards ending seems extremely dangerous, even on the level of the First's flood of light. Probably surpassing that if it leaks into the other shards, contaminating the other worlds. Finally, I don't know much about the watchers themselves since I haven't played the original Drakengard. But was there infighting between them via the red girls in the Raids like last time in Drakengard? I remember reading something like that online. --- |

The further off the beam Arthur goes, the more the city itself physically deteriorates (trash building up, people acting strangely), the more the news references super rats running around, and the crazier the scene transitions get (rewatch the scene when he confronts Thomas Wayne, hes literally floating around and stuff).
