Good. Want to make sure all the regulars are joined to the discord in case anything happens.

Also the drummer from Black Crowes hosts the local Nashville rock station and the guy does a really damn good job of it.
The black crowes is one of my favorite bands. Seen them six times in concert. Now that I know this topic has some fans, I'm gonna start blasting them here.

Not sure

But it's big claim to fame is supposedly the first perfect dreamcast emulation . People have had trouble with dreamcast emulation for years
If it's claiming that then it isn't running them natively...it's being emulated. Also I didn't think Dreamcast ever had a problem...it was the Saturn that was very hard to emulate. In the last couple years though, that's completely changed.

I remember looking at this when it was first announced and it seemed very expensive. Seems like people would either 1. just emulate on their PC, 2. emulate with a raspberry pi, or 3. get a working retro setup with native consoles and CRT for no lag/authentic gameplay.
Overall I'm not sure who's the target audience for this device.

Yeah I know they don't fuck around with things being up to code, electrical, and structural standards. At one point I was looking to expand on my porch back when I lived near Atlanta, and something about the existing length of the nails, and they had to be entirely replaced before they would even touch it. Anything that could involve them with work that violates code can be fines and whatnot, doesn't matter how much you plead and reason with them.
Similar thing happened with us when we wanted to expand our back porch. Something about the way it was built made it very good quality but unable to be expanded upon. It would have to be rebuilt completely. That was not $12k we were interested in spending.

^I love that channel. I want to open it, as i can tell the vertical alignment is a little off (a bit low). But, that kind of stuff scares me lol.

Actually that youtuber offers modding services for his patrons, so I was thinking of joining and asking him what is possible as far as RGB modding. He's an amazing source for CRT knowledge.

Yeah I meant composite, thats what I started with. But I am on s-video now and its beautiful, actually a big difference.

Now I just need a good s-video switch box so I can keep everything plugged in.
Ok cool you already know about his channel.

Here's the one I use. Works great, no interference. Make sure you get quality cables for everything that's what'll make all the difference.

How did you get it? Was it hard to find a CRT? I feel like they must be rare now
I got mine from Craigslist. There's still a lot of people getting rid of their "old" tvs. Most are either giving them away(like in my situation) or only charging up to $50 for them. Only issue is if you're being particular about the type of tv you want. I wanted a tv with component input so it took me 1-2 months of looking at Craigslist twice a day before finding mine. I got lucky and scored one with component, s-video, and composite.

Comoodore 1702 monitor, early 80s. Highest it supports is s-video, but I was surprised cause it looks surprisingly crisp. Actually, this shot you see I am using normal component, but I had the s-video cable on the way in the mail, and it looks way better now that ive plugged that in. I was kind of shocked how crisp it is
Wait I accidentally said component originally not composite(Y/R/W). Pic looks like you're using composite. Some consoles handle composite really well like the 360. Genesis doesn't look good on composite but good lord does it look incredible with component.

Just wait until you fall down the rabbit hole of opening up the tv and tinkering with it's rings and stuff for a better picture.

Nice. That's a similar story with my 32' Toshiba. Elderly couple had it in their living room but they never watched tv in there. They always used their den for watching tv.

Not sure what I get, if its sumac or poison ivy, but I break out a lot hiking and trekking through the woods. Calamine or whatever that pink stuff is doesn't work much, usually swab it with alcohol instead.
Yeah my wife has a lot of natural creams and stuff with lavender oil in them to control any itching and swelling. Thankfully whole my arm is broken out, it's mild and the spots don't itch.

Yeah you actually have to be allergic to poison ivy for it to affect you. Unfortunately most people are allergic.

Another fun fact is that it's not contagious once you wash the oil off of you.

I've tried different cables and all the different HDMI ports on 2 different TVs. Nothing worked.

I'm fairly certain that the HDMI port on the PS4 is the issue.
Get some rubbing alcohol(85% at least) and a q-tip. Clean all the contacts within the hdmi port. If they get dirty enough, which could happen from unplugging and plugging in that much, it'll interfere with the signal.

I would suggest that if there is a job you really want to tailor your resume to what they're looking for to make it easier for their computer to pick out. At our job place, we use AI to find key words that fit our company, which are easy to pick out from the job description and responsibility parts. We want to filter out the ones who are serious and the ones who just click "send resume".
This is an excellent point too. Tailor your resume for the job and if you have the ability to attach a cover letter to your resume, do it!

I applied to a job last week and immediately got a not selected message. I'm pretty sure it's because I didn't meet one requirement, which was having a bachelor's in accounting or finance. I met all the other requirements and I have an MBA in Finance.
Yeah those auto filter things are dumb. Best thing I tell people is to make an actual account on LinkedIn and other job sites like Indeed. Upload your resume, skills, etc to the profile. Employers and recruiters scan these sites for potential employees. The sites aren't only used by people looking for jobs. If you have your stuff filled out, people will reach out to you with job listings. Takes some of the effort off of you.

Apply anyway. In my experience most of those jobs dont actually require half the shit they say they do.
This. The years of experience bullet for entry level jobs is just there to scare off the lazy and riff raff. If you meet at least half the requirements then always apply.
