Also something is now bugging me about Mike's claim.

He is now effectively claiming a bulletproof town cop with unlimited scans.

This seems bonkers broken unless he's still third party, scum has multiple roles with the potential to get around it, or both.

ultimately, i'm more interested in hearing why plum and red (since apparently those two are the ones driving your thoughts) don't consider tavish ending up (through transformation or otherwise) scum-aligned a possibility

i feel like we're twisting ourselves in knots to imagine a scenario where all of the following is true:

1) the independent tavish is being 100% accurate and forthcoming with their role,
2) the host is actively pranking the tavish by misleading them about their path to victory, and
3) only in one specific way

if we're opening the door to the host misleading tavish, why do we trust when the host says independent will stay town-aligned if he succeeds in the merge?

i think we have to stick with tavish's original logic, before he developed cold feet

while this doesn't exactly prove anything about alignment, it's pretty rational for tavish's "target" to be bulletproof. how much would it suck to have that role, and your target dies n1?
