Hey all.

This is an idea I've toyed with before, even alluded to in a few posts, so I thought I'd take it a step further. I saw a tweet a while ago about the NFL. I can't even remember what it was about, something to do with paying black players less compensation for head injuries or something. Anyway, the tweet said something to the effect of, you could publish a groundbreaking story a week just from the things beat writers assume everybody knows. Because barely anybody outside those close circles really knew or talked about the payment thing.

Anyway, the point is CE is weird and I'm thinking of writing about it. Not sure where it will go if anywhere. So all I want from you is: what kind of things would be mentioned? Vegy, UR, the church that got burned down. What else? What else is in the annals of CE history? What specific things about its cast of characters would you think are worth mentioning? What about its early days would you want people to know? What do you want them to know about it now? About its gimmick posters and weirdos? About its good things, if there are any lmao.

I've always been skeptical of it and hoped they wouldn't do it. Kang does seem cool though, so maybe it'll be all right. Hopefully they just open and close the door on it pretty quick, but I doubt it.

Or his own religion or whatever exactly you'd call it - Marge invites Reverend Lovejoy to dinner.

She says something like, "Reverend Lovejoy, I had a bit of an ulterior motive in inviting you to dinner..."

Alarmed, he just shouts "WHAT!"

Then Marge says "No no, it's nothing bad..."

Is the joke that Revered Lovejoy thought he was about to be murdered?
