| Shishiwakamaru 02/04/22 2:11:03 PM #1 | So obviously it's between 1 and 3 (inb4 someone says it's 2) and 3 is an fantastic game, especially if you play the Japanese version. But it has one problem. I would say I am an above-average gamer, and I couldn't imagine beating the game without major help from one of the side characters, i.e. using them as your first option. Trevor's moveset is very restricted and some of the platforming you have to do seems impossible with him unless you are a pro speedrunner. Castlevania 1 has the exact same controls for Simon, but the levels are totally designed around these restricted controls. It's still a very hard game, but I think even an average gamer can beat it eventually. That is why Castlevania 1 is the best NES Castlevania game.
