It's not that I'm bragging about how much I'm making. It's the fact that he keeps talking about how I'm faking how much I'm making. I used to make 120k, so 80k isn't even that much for me. He's the one that keeps bringing it up and making it such a big deal. He's now back tracking and saying that "it's not even that much", but with how big of a deal he makes of it, just proves how little he makes and how jelly it is that I make so much more than him. Once I move to Cali, I'll be making 120k+, doing the same thing I'm doing here, so I can't imagine how crazy he's going to be once that happens, lmao.

If you'd spent an unhealthy amount of time on this particular board like the rest of us, you'd know that TC has a long history of airing his dumb, dirty laundry to the board, including how he cheated on his wife, and traumatized his kids for a "joke". Claims he's richer than most of the posters here, yet works a job that is demonstrably middle class at best (by the way, no one knocks him for having a middle class income, but it's fucking bizarre how he uses it to give himself an air of superiority).

Most of the OG Monster Rancher games are like 90% training and stress management for your monsters, and 10% battling.

The only Monster Rancher game other than 2 I played was the TCG one for game boy. So I dont have the biggest frame of reference.

I used to have a bunch of mini figures too, but my dad made me use them for a diorama in elementary school even though I told him other kids were going to pull them off and take them. He didnt believe me, and literally the day I played it, all of the figures got stolen

I loved the show when I was little and even had a bunch of the minifigs.

Then I got one of the games(not sure which one, but prolly the GBA), and the game was so disappointing. All you did in battle was press left or right to get the monster a certain distance and press A when they're at the right distance or something.

Is this game actually good? I'd love to play a good Monster Rancher game.

Basically you start off small and your goal is to find new resources, expand to said resources, exploit them for advantages, then use them to push to win the game. This USUALLY takes the form of building cities and armies and controlling entire nations but can happen on various other scales as well. Civilization is the poster child of the franchise but there's plenty of other options.

Then Knights of the Realm 1 and 2 will definitely be up your alley.(although one might be a little too dated, 2 is still good though)

GW has been raking in massive profits and inflates their prices every year. Underworlds is basically a competitive card game, and so keeping up with it even at the best of times can be stupid expensive, unless your group is really casual.

I've heard MTG players on average spend more money than Warhammer players, which sounds wrong to me but I don't know enough about MTG to dispute it.

Regardless, I wouldn't suggest Underworlds if you're looking for a cheap Warhammer alternative. I'd be hesitant to even suggest something like Warcry or Necromunda, because I can only assume GW will continue to inflate prices, though obviously it's still a good starting point.

MTG prices depend greatly on the format you play. Like for example, in Legacy, a 4k deck is considered on the cheaper side, while modern decks go for like 500-2k.
