Try changing your browser to Desktop mode.

Thanks- Im not sure if this helped or not because i was still getting the same press and hold situation, but i was able to somehow get through after awhile and placed an order. Delivery in early October.

I'm also not sure if i can get excited yet. Walmart has cancelled a shitload of my orders in the past

So everything costs double? Then why not just make the offer $500,000?

everything costing double is the same as yours money being worth half just about

thats part of the penalty. I could buy an ice cream for $1 , but your dollar is only worth half, so you have to spend an extra dollar for the same ice cream

this is the penalty for taking the million . There are consequences to taking the million, which is why I dont just offer you $500k for free with no penalty

I think you're double punishing in some places here. Buying a $500k house costs you $1million but sells for $250k.

I think you can just reframe it as "You make half the money and everything you currently own halves in value", in which case the math is simple: You accept if 1/2(current assets + lifetime earnings) + $1m > current asset + lifetime earnings, i.e. if $2m> current assets + lifetime earnings.

uhh, sure ? I guess Im picturing if you buy a $500k house with the million, since it was bought with that million, it doesnt contain the penalty. If you already owned the $500k house though, then it does.

i should have stated that more clearly- the 1mil, and anything you buy with it, does not lose the value.

Do you take the million?

Not including the million. For the rest of your life, anything you own, including any cash you accrued before taking the million, and after taking the million, will only be valued at half the current value.

so if your house is a $500k appraised house, youll never get above $250k if you sell.

buying something worth $100 will now cost $200 for you, and only you.

also if you invest or gamble the 1mil, your return will only be worth half what it normally would be.

ONLY the 1 mil will be valued at full worth.

This is an irreversible consequence.

Do you take
