What if one is a fan of playing a sport, knows all the rules, strategy, terminology, etc, but doesn't follow the sport played by the professionals?

Not waitresses because they see that card all the time with a rich patrons dining in their restaurant. You might have a chance at impressing groupies on the bar though

I dont have a problem with people not liking something as much as I do. I just hate people calling themselves a fan if they barely know anything about their team

I thought the show is fantastic. Beginning to end. I heard theres a second season coming but I dont know how they will get any better.

you dont have to know every player but at least know who a couple of them are and at least watch the games

I have tickets for the Warriors and Lakers game in Valentines day weekend and I have tickets for the Sharks and LA Kings game next month in MLK day. Im even planning to go to more if my responsibilities allow for it and I can find babysitting.

I just said what I said earlier because I know a lot of fans who would die for the opportunity to go to games but cant afford to do it because those prices arent exactly friendly to a Starbucks barista

Typically because a lot of real fans around here get outpriced from attending games because its so damn expensive. This is very common for SF Giants, 49ers, or Warrior fans. The fake fans who I hate are a big reason for this. The prices are so damn high because of them.

The only tickets real fans can still afford around here are San Jose Sharks tickets.

A lot of real fans here cant afford the tickets because the cost of living here is too high and the only ones that typically can are affluent yuppies who can care less about whats going on in the games and are only at the games because its the hip, cool, and trendy thing to do.

I never forgot Mr Bean. I loved the show.!

honestly Id only be flattered if they actually watched the games and were actually interested in what was going on and they actually took the time and effort to know the thing theyre watching if theyre trying to impress me

I see the harm. I hate fakes and posers who pretend to be something theyre actually not.

Theyre also the reason ticket prices are so damn high. I know this from people being on their damn phone in Warriors games instead of watching the damn thing and its an insult to an actual fan of the team that theyre taking up a nice seat in the arena that a real fan would have appreciated better.

It reeks of insecurity and makes me look down on them even more if they cannot be who they really are around me.

Yeah you wouldnt connect much to me if you didnt like sports much but at least I can respect you being real.

IMO if you want to take being into sports, at least know who some of the damn players are.

Seems like you're calling me out. I'm usually a fan of a sport team because of location or something personal, not because of the people. I don't think i cared to really invest in who's who outside of the quartbacks/mvp folks. That's said college teams (during my time there) were the exception since i tended to have classes with some of the players lol so it's easier to care about them

not much different than girls at the sports games (for example) who dont know much of whats going on in the game but is only there because its a cool thing to do

This country is great, but it can also be better. Some people want us to stay the way we are with expensive healthcare and having to work 60 or more hours a week. I have a way better job then my dad did, but living a lower quality of life.

I think its typically the rich that think this way because clearly the system works for them

Lots of people seem to think that theyre above doing retail, restaurant, or Any other low paying jobs just because they worked hard in their education and got there degrees

Plenty others agree with what im saying and will take anything as long as it pays their bills while trying to break into their industry
