I can't prove that you're wrong about your claims I admit but it seems pretty convenient as a means to the conversation.

A) I mean it's our claims versus yours. You claim "NOBODY has been influenced by Rogan" versus our claim of knowing some people (especially since she is an ER doctor), our claims seem a bit more plausible.
B) Plus as I mentioned the decades of research in social psychology showing how gradual misinformation builds and hardens a viewpoint.

What are you talking about? People made up their minds regarding their vaccine choices before Joe even entered the equation. What does Trump have to do with the podcast? You keep bringing him up as if their is any relevance to it.

Let me break this down a bit
A) Believing in something like vaccine efficacy is a process - it's not Yes/No. You can start off skeptic and then (intentionally or otherwise) find things that reaffirm your belief. THIS is what Joe is contributing to.
B) Trump is brought up as a parallel example of how this works - lots of people, even some on CE, have family members that might have had misgivings about immigrants/African Americans/liberals. Listening to Trump's statements over the years made them harden those beliefs to paranoia.

He hosts a podcast. Anyone who hasn't gotten the vaccine isn't on the fence because of what he's saying. Either you do or you don't. By the way, I've had both and a booster. Stop being dramatic.

Strangely enough, I know a couple people that did defer from get the vaccine because (in their words) "I listen to Joe Rogan to get a variety of information from all sides". There are also lots of other anecdotal examples out on the web, and more importantly decades of research on how repeated exposure to soft challenging statements shifts a person's mindset. I never said anything about your vaccination status, why did you bring it up?

Cleo I know next to nothing about dieting/weight loss or gain, especially female issues, but it sounds like you've done a lot already which is awesome!
Don't know if it helps but focusing on the smaller 'goals' you achieve, like having no more than two sugar snacks/sweets a day or eating non salty food for three days might help (rather than the longer goal of weight). Don't be ashamed to put up a chart to keep track of these things :)

The information joe relayed on the podcast concerning the myocarditis situation came from none other than the guardian, he was fact checked on air and was corrected but proven right by an MD.

Which MD "proved" Joe Rogan correct? Was it actually proof or a statement that the rest of the medical community was wrong?
