if that was true. Wouldnt every 600k cops just get into a shooting to relieve stress? Every cop whose been in a shooting that I know said it was the most nerve wracking process of their entire life

A) So you didn't answer my question (or others in this thread) - should police contact an employer for further punishment?
B) If applicable he can/should be charged with resisting arrest. I'm not aware of any laws prohibiting racial slurs during an arrest, please correct me if I'm mistaken.
C) If a police called him a slur while arresting him? I would hope there would be consequences somewhere though we sadly have lots of examples where police have done exactly that. And yes I'm holding them to a higher standard as that's what the police are supposed to be in our society.
D) Do you use racial slurs when arresting difficult/ frustrating suspects?

A) The proof is all around you. The CDC being pressured to remove the mask recommendation. Cuomo's handling of the coronavirus. The push to reopen schools was part of Biden's outlined plan to "return America to normal" and it was stupidly optimistic at best and outright uncaring (again, to feed the economy machine) at worst. The push to reopen schools is to get kids out of their parents' hair and get the parents back to work.

A) That....didn't answer my question? I asked which premise of mine you were stating was flawed? (Hint premise is a starting belief)

B) Wanting to reopen schools is poor handling of the pandemic (i.e. it will make things worse, not the sort of thing that would end the pandemic). I'm honestly shocked that you're failing so hard at understanding this very basic connection. Hopefully after I've spelled it out for you slowly and in multiple ways, you'll finally understand.

B) So do you agree with that post that the Republicans had made a lot of mistakes? Because this paragraph doesn't state they, instead it seems to be deflecting to potential future problems (like my cow and bird analogy).

C) To refute some of your tangential points, the American Academy of Pediatric recommends in person learning (with precautions). Whom exactly is saying reopening schools is "poor handling of the pandemic"?

A) That's a big claim to make - what premise specifically of mine is flawed?
B) "Serving the same economic machine" STILL doesn't answer how wanting to open schools refutes his point. If a poster says "Cows pooped in this field" saying "Birds might mess up cars" doesn't refute the statement.

Oh man, my aunt has stubbornly fallen into that rabbit hole too. Her grandson has autism and she's convinced that vaccines caused it. So she's been full on anti-vax/qanon conspiracy theorist for the last 8 years or so. We don't even try to talk about Covid with her.

I'm fact, my great uncle (my aunt's uncle) just died from covid after being hospitalized for a month and a half. The first thing she says about it is that the hospital killed him so that they could blame it on Covid... Because "Covid is not real" I'd love to convince her otherwise, but is it even possible to reason with her at this point?

Part of me wants to ask her "Are you saying that every single COVID death was manufactured? And that tens of thousands of medical professionals and scientists are all in one big lie? What proof do you have of either of these?"... part of me knows my brain would get even more fried..

I said something similiar to one of my cousins who is a anti-vaxxer and he said "it's not the same thing though. we have proof that seat belts saves lives, but no proof vaccines does." It's absolutely unreal what some of these idiots say. I want to believe we're just living in a Poe's Law.

Very tough choice! I liked where it ended - coming full circle, Superman's cardboard speech, Luthor's outside the box solution that tied into his perpetual quest to be as 'good' as Superman....

But I would definitely have loved to see more - the Cadmus arc showed how they could balance some heavy questions

No one deserves to have anything given to them. You can say we as a society should do X or Y because its nice and we have the capability of doing so but when people say people deserve something or have he right to something that requires the action of others its such a b.s. argument.

I dont think fast food should be given a so called "living wage" by force of law but if a fast food company will offer it of their own accord then fine. Or if you dislike how a company pays/treats their works then stop doing business with them. If all the people who whine about "living wages" would stop doing business with the companies that dont offer such then said companies would see major losses and br forced to reconsider. That is how you change things, not expecting some clueless idiots who are in bed with lobbyists make up new laws that screw over basically everyone.

Now that all said, I think itd be good if communities worked together in various ways to make sure no member of the community was without basic necessities. So if someone cannot afford shelter, food or clothing then yes the community should help out.

So basic needs are a privilege, not a right? A community might help an orphaned child.. but they don't "deserve to have it handed to them"?

First I would say most definitely as A) prices have risen dramatically and B) a lot of cards that were trash are awesome now because of new formats and new cards (do you remember how terrible Lion's Eye Diamond how?)

As to the best method - I think sadly you are gonna need to sort them first. Afterwards you might start with looking for ten highest priced cards in each set you have on a website and then seeing if you have them.

B) You never broke down the incident with shot spotter - specifically the police going back and asking them to find more shootings to justify them returning fire.
